I would do the same thing if they allowed NEXT with in store pickup!!! Not worth the risk of missing the phone with a 2hr drive each waySo what age does that make AT&T giving people that order the phone weeks after myself an earlier shipping date if I'm not suppose to be annoyed that they are getting the same phone before I'm even inside of my shipping window at all? It's not all about getting it in the random window they picked it's about being on Day 50 of the order process.

Here is the weird thing
On phone it says 2 order numbers
1. "backordered" from beginning: online status doesnt exist, also reps couldnt find anything about it, they said it must be from long time.
2. "processing": online status "preparing to ship" from the beginning of order.
Today the 1st one changed to processing and got CC charged, but online order doesnt exist.
So it might be that there is another duplicate order that is having the actual status than what was provided to me ? i am not sure.
This is the silver 64+ unicorn model. So did this happen for anyone else ?
I'm jealous of you folks that can even use the 877 number. It hasn't ever been able to find my order number. Thankfully the website does. Unthankfully it still hasn't changed.
You should have gotten and email from ATT
You should have gotten and email from ATT that gives you your estimated ship dates. At the bottom paragraph it gives you a link to check status, the 877 number and the order number you need to check it over the phone.

Just called the 877 to ask if there's any update to my order, basically it's today or Monday, and I haven't seen/heard anything.
The Premier CSR was adamant that I would be getting the phone shipped. "Definitely Monday, could be today" and that I'll get an email with tracking number. She was very confused as to why I'd even be questioning this. She repeated over and over that "your phone will ship by Monday and you'll get an email". Sounded to me a lot like "Tell him what he wants to hear". Maybe I'm overly cynical at this point, but that's what I felt.
To put a finer point on it, I asked her "So you have phones in stock?" She said "we have lot of those phones in stock, yes".
Maybe she's right, maybe ATT is literally going to adhere to the letter of the law with the range and ship in on the last possible day for many people.
I doubt it. I think she was telling me what I want to hear so I'd hang up ASAP and she could go about her day.
She did provide a number to call if I don't get a shipment email by EOD Monday though. 1-866-499-8008, Option 2
