Want to step in for a second and give an update. I went to the Apple Store at the Mall of Ga. For the rare unicorn, the 6+ 64GB Silver. I checked istocknow.com and it Sid they had one. Got there, waited a minute and confirmed with a Apple rep. That they still had it. Finally got in, saw the phone in the rep's hand. Called AT&T to cancel, they did. Apple showed not eligible. Checked 3 times with no change. They would hold the phone for 24 hours. Stepped outside and gave AT&T a call. The first person said they could NOT just push a button and make the line eligible for the NEXTEL program. After about 15-20 seconds of blessing him out, I got a floor manager. Very calmly she said she would not accept my tone of voice. QUICKLY changed that.

Cutting to the chase...she punched a button and got me eligible for the NEXT program. Aaaaaaaannnnddddddd.......I have my phone! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! So whoever is updating the list, please put cancelled next to me. I would like to say it has been fun here. Not the waiting mind you but chatting with you all. I will stick around for a little while to check on a few of you. 420 and Gingersnap I am looking at you all. 420, smoke a bowl for me! Might do that again when I retire in about 6 years!:D

Trust me when I say that as a wife, we are usually cool waiting for what everyone else in the family gets first. Unless we are talking about princess diva types then good luck with that. lol

You're totally right. My wife always waits and always ends up getting the short straw so this is exactly why I want her to get what she wants this time because she sacrifices so much for us . It's also why I haven't cancelled and gone to the store or got a different phone BC I'd hate for her order to get messed up, especially from something I did lol and no she's definitely not a princess or diva . Just a hard working stay at home mom
 
I wonder how many people got there ATT ordered phones on or before there ship date versus the one's who cancelled and bought in the Apple store.

Ok just called the 877 number and the status is now Processing and not On Back Order! My window for shipping is 11/9 - 11/27. Is it too soon to get excited?!?!

I hope not. I just got the same message.
 
Nothing for me today. Tomorrow is my last day of my shipping window. So I'm guessing I will get pushed back. Absolutely pitiful.
 
Well. I just got a call in reply to my email from ATT's Executive Appeals office. They're looking into my order and the gentleman said he would call me personally with a more accurate shipping date. Gave me his direct number also.

I'm shocked.

Do not act too nice or they'll think you're not upset and they'll slack off. Don't take their word when they say they'll call you back at a certain hour...call them 15-30min past the hour and leave messages if necessary. They need to know you're not letting up.
What's the name of your guy? My guy's last name is Edmond. He failed to call yesterday at 7pm as he said he would, and we left messages and emails to get back to us. Turns out he had a "family emergency" to tend to the last 2 days and has not been able to follow up on expediting our replacement order. My hubby claims Edmond sounded distraught over his relative, but he told my hubby he would call us back tomorrow at around 3pm (CST).
If it would have been me on the call, I would have asked if someone else can proceed with our case while he takes care of his personal business. Not trying to be mean, but I'm sure ATT has enough people that can jump in and help close an escalation ticket.

Like everyone else I'm tired of this game. What hope do we have when people who pre-ordered phones still don't have theirs? Wait - we're dealing with AT&T who seem to randomly reward a few people with early shipping. :rolleyes:

so istocknow just showed stock in for 128s in SG at my local apple store, I tried going and booking 1 online and it wouldn't give me an option to keep my unlimited data plan and wanted me to sign up for a tiered plan. The only reason I am staying with AT&T at this point is to keep my unlimited plan so this is NOT an option for me.

Edit: I figured out what I was doing incorrectly but honestly got worried that I wouldn't be able to book a phone for both my wife and I after I cancelled my order with AT&T so I didn't go through with it. Totally wimped out because I don't want to wait another month or two on top of this by accident. Oh well...

I was also, as i also had the unlimited plan. so i went to an att store bought a $14. phone had them add a line and activated the cheap phone. went home checked the site. one was available in georgia. used that line to order the iphone i chose the lowest data plan 20.00 and $499 for the 128g 6+ the following day i picked up the phone.
DO NOT HAVE APPLE ACTIVATE IT. for this type of situation.
i called att on my way back as i had 4 hours to kill driving lol
i had them cancel the backordered iphone and move the phone i picked up for the new line to the unlimited line. and had them cancel the new line. i explained i only added the new line to get the phone. so they canceled the new line without charging me anything for the new line.
the girl kept apologizing because it will take a while. i told her to take her time i had four hours of driving to go. after all she had to do all the work so driving was not an issue plus i had speaker phone. (also have another phone with you that you are not going to making change to (which i did) because of the phones being cut off and started with the new iphone)

also she wanted the iphone 6+ but couldnt find one so i told her what worked for me and she took notes and was happy for the info.
also do not have a heart attack they do have to cancel and re-add your unlimited plan because of the new LTE of the iphone system. this all sounds worse than it really is. Hope this helps you. :)
I know this is a lot but it was well worth it. plus if they would have charged me for the lines.... for me it would only have been 10 bucks each, as i have a real old plan 1997. lol

i called the cell 611 number to have all the swaping done.

The 6+ 64GB Gold I ordered from ATT Premier shipped today via Fedex 2 day shipping. It shipped from Ft Worth TX.

Weekday delivery only though, and expected delivery date of Monday November 10 by 8:00pm.

Fedex Tracking details so far are:
7:51 pm Arrived at FedEx location FORT WORTH, TX
7:29 pm Left FedEx origin facility FORT WORTH, TX
6:00 am Picked up FORT WORTH, TX
12:42 am Shipment information sent to FedEx

At least its moving, but you would think they would express it overnight after all of this. What is a couple more days I guess. Of course now I worry about the condition of it when it arrives. I will just have to think positive that all will be well.

I hope other 64GB Golds and Silvers are shipping as these seem to be the some of the rarest of phones.
 
Just got back from the at&t store after everyone hung up on me. The first guy was all defensive when I said I had a iphone issue he was like YOUR NOT COMING FROM APPLE ARE YOU?! I was like no calm down. So I finally got a different rep and I asked him wheres my order and we looked it up and it said pending and he was telling me there was a lot of people whom shipping dates got pushed back so he said that could happen to me. Thankfully I have a 3gs I am currently using and I found somewhere in my contract that says my 3gs service will expire on the 12th in favor of my 4g service so he gave me his "personal" cellphone number and told me to call him by monday, if I don't receive it by then then he will have the bosses check it out. Come tuesday if I have no phone he told me he would personally call around locally to make sure I get the phone...So we shall see.... shipping window ends tomorrow. All my local apple store has are gold and silver 128gbs but I want the space gray.... hopefully something gets done. Good luck my fellow iphone peeps!
