These two pieces of concrete data seem to suggest that (aside from cancellations, reorders, and/or animosity at the system leading to excessive cranial pressure) orders are being completed and shipping one day after the window.
Time for the upset among us to relax and have a beer (or green tea if so inclined) and enjoy the weekend. Life is to short to grow angered about not getting the thing you want at the moment you want it. Besides, the newness of the desired device will wear off in a matter of days and it will be like three months ago when you didn't even know what 6+ was called, much less what it looked like.
Have mercy on the representatives at the company you now despise, they are just trying to do their jobs, as i am sure you do at your place of work. Would you enjoy the shoe on your foot, being chided for not giving the customer what they want and having no way to satiate their desire?

People are pissed because life IS short. You aren't guaranteed tomorrow. Also, I don't know how I could tell someone who has been waiting months for a phone, is now past her estimated ship time, and got lied to by a rep, like Gingersnap, to not be pissed. Give me a break. If I was in Gingersnap's situation, especially with the way AT&T has been handling orders, I would be causing HELL.
