Ok people.. Calm down, It's a phone, there are a lot more important things in life.

1st. Just because you preorder something doesn't always mean you are going to get it on the first day of availability, so stop acting like you deserve it just for waking up early.

2nd. They are most likely shipping out in order depending on where you live.

3rd. Honestly, you are going to get the phone and feel cool for 5 minutes until you realize it's the same as your iphone 5 or 5s just a bigger screen.. You all will be ok if you don't get tomorrow.
 
Well there are other things at play here.

1. I'll be out of town all October. I can't have a package sitting at my doorstep or it will be stolen, nor can I leave a note on the door that tells the world I'm not home. I'll have to deal with whomever is shipping my order and make sure they hold it.

2. Everyday I have to wait lowers the value of my current phone. Waiting past launch day costs me money. If I had a shipping order my phone would be on eBay right now.


Cool. You aren't the person I quoted so not sure why you took it as a personal attack on yourself. Getting FedEx or UPS to hold a package isn't a tough process, hope your phone shows up sooner than you leave though.
 
My order

Late to the party but have been reading the thread for days...

Ordered 64gb SG iPhone 6+ on att website at 2:55 est am no problem.. Quickly received confirmation email and went to bed to wake up to the congrats text at 9am est.

My shipping status has shown 10/2-10/13 since order was completed on 9/12..

My order number starts with the 1912 and I received the kick in the nuts email as well from att this morning stating my shipping dates remain the same in Oct.

My CC charges have been gone for two days now...I live in Tampa FL and do not have a premier account...first preorder as I was always one of the crazy ones to go hunt a device out on launch day at apple...looks like I should have done the same..

Good luck to all for launch day deliverys and to those that got shipping for orders after me congrats as well! I can't be mad at you for att errors!
 
I ordered a 6 Plus Gold and 6 Gold, both 16GB on premier. I have a tracking number for the 6 and nothing for the 6 Plus. When I check the order status for both orders I get a cancel pre-order button for both orders.
 
Nope, I have tracking info on a phone I ordered 10 hours after you characters who stayed up all night.

Lol for the record - what are your "stats" again? I need fuel for when they bust my balls about canceling in store tomorrow :p fcfs right? Meh
 
Maybe this has been asked/addressed but if so I've missed it in all the petty arguing.

If Apple "only" produces 140,000 iPhone 6 Plus per day - why is there such a shortage? That's about a million a week. Has Apple not been making these for weeks now? :confused:
 
I cannot agree more with this statement, plus it seems if you had a FAN account you got the shaft. Interesting to me because most of the FAN Discounts are from Fortune 500 companies. You know, the employees and decision makers of those companies you probably don't want to upset.

Going to Verizon tomorrow and checking out their plans and speaking with a rep. This boils down to principal and nothing more at this point, I don't need to pay someone to lie to me, I get that all day long for free.

to make matters worse, I lost the debit card that was originally charged but then later fell off because I guess it was only a hold. now that card is cancelled and now I probably have to reorder and wait even longer. Ugh. if I have to reorder, I'm just going straight to Apple and ordering the 128gb instead of the 64

Hey guys, anyone or all who received that email sent from At&t stating the status of the order. Saying something like: "we are still expecting to ship you order on the dates listed below 10/02-10/13" can you state the model of the 6+, the color and what region your in.

6+ sg 128 upstate n.y.
 
Oh god its happening... The thread is turning on each other!!

Well it's just one person bragging, but honestly I say more power to him.

All my anger is directed towards AT&T. If I cancel my preorder they will hear why. At this point there's also no way I'm paying that upgrade fee, I will get that waived if I do go through with getting the phone.
 
Checked this morning and my complete order status page did change, about time, the iPhone 6 64GB Gold showed that it was shipped and a tracking number was attached. My only little hope that my Plus would arrive tomorrow relied on this since I had the tracking number for that other phone on the other line the whole time before AT&T decided to update my order.

As of this morning, my iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB SG is still, "Preparing to Ship/Preorder Processing" and the blue, "Cancel Preorder" button is back. I did not receive an order status email this morning for this specific order, I did for the other line stating that the phone shipped. This order is still showing 10/02/2014 to 10/13/2014. Ordered within 5 to 7 minutes of the store launching.

Double checked UPS My Choice and FedEx but nothing..

I guess I'll possibly be standing in line tomorrow morning. I'm going to call my local AT&T store soon to see if they have any SG Plus in stock (64 GB +). I've also been reading mix answers in regards to whether they'll be able to cancel the order and reverse the upgrade in store, does anyone know?

Of course they can. If you can do it by yourself why wouldn't they be able to do it there? They can do anything, canceling an order is pretty much bottom of the barrel in regards to account management inquiries.

I hope AT&T enjoys their server costs this month, they've earned it! Maybe next year they'll keep their customers better informed with more realistic ship dates so their customers won't keep refreshing the page!

Verizon didn't have a problem giving realistic ship dates off the bat and tracking numbers early in the week...

I'd rather them be overly cautious with long range dates and exceed expectations then throw out the launch date and miss it.
Agreed. I'd rather have a conservative shipping date and be pleasantly surprised. AT&T are at the mercy of Apple's supply chain.

Really guys? There's a difference between a "conservative estimate" and ridiculous, from the posts we have seen AT&T has stated these dates aren't very accurate it's more of a crap shoot. A) People who had these estimated ship dates of mid to late October an Late October to almost mid November now have had their phones shipped while others with the same date are still waiting. That is not a conservative estimate, that is a crap shoot!

Do you guy's go to the Restaurant expecting service hoping to be bad but pleasantly surprised by good service? Of course not, why should AT&T be any different? We pay AT&T our hard earned money and we should be given great service at all times, communicated with not the "this is a busy time for us, leave us alone, your phone will get their when it gets their..."

Now I hope you guy's don't take this as me bashing you, it's really bashing AT&T but jeez raise your expectations. When you spend your money (in general) you deserve the est service possible... Who told you should lower your expectations? The phone company?

I need to just not come back to this forum until I get my phone. drives me crazy that people who ordered after me got their shipping and everything for same exact phone. guess that's what I get for taking advantage of att site going live early.

I was told by a chat agent that they could and an in-store agent that they couldn't. However, I know for sure that if you call, customer service can cancel it and if you ask, but you have to explicitly ask, they can restore your upgrade eligibility immediately. I'd say call the store you plan to wait at and see if they have stock, plan to be there early and if there's no movement for your preorder, cancel before the store opens at 8 or before customer services closes at 10 I believe tonight. My logic is that if my order is indeed on the way, they won't be able to cancel it because it's already in transit and then I'll know and if they can, hopefully I'll be early enough to get a phone placed in my hands tomorrow! Well then why pre order? it used to be a guarantee on launch day. Why do you think so many people do it? if everyone knew they weren't getting it on launch day then they would have just waited 3-4 weeks and comfortably go into an apple store and upgrade.
 
This is no doubt a customer service nightmare, but they have us by the balls so they don't care.

Congrats on your phone delivery. I was wondering the same thing as I have a similar order as you. My wife's phone as been shipped via FedEx with 2 lbs as the weight. I wonder if when you ordered you received the same web order ID (I had the same for both my phones).
