Same here. My wife's iPhone 6 is shipped but is reading 2lbs. Hopefully my 6+ is with it!!!
I don't think the weight matters. I have 2 non-pluses in two diff shipments and they both say 2lbs. I'm only expecting one more phone (6+ 64GB SG)
 
I'm starting to think that some of us got those emails this morning reminding us of when AT&T "plans" on shipping the phone because it was a week ago that we ordered.....since I ordered 10 minutes before midnight....maybe they send out a reminder every week....that's what i'm hoping anyways as i still haven't gotten a tracking number for my 6+ 64 gb sg iphone.....after seeing other people order after me get theirs lol
 
It's about time for them to start assigning phones from those 5 planes. Come on shipping info.

Just because the planes landed doesn't mean that was the iphone's final destination, its just their entry point. For all we know they had to be unloaded and reloaded onto planes set to Texas or Tenn for processing. Those phones might not be processes and ship out till later today.

If I'm being honest I don't think it matters either. I think some shipments simply differ in weight but in reality are just one phone.

I ordered the same phone on 9/12 at 2:20amCST, no emails since that morning
 
So i signed up just to put my two cents...


Ordered my phone at approx 1:30 am pacific coast time due to the system being down for ATT at 12am

Got an email at approx 2:40ish am that same night thanking me for my purchase and was giving a 14-21 day window. (10/19-10/31) window i believe.

That got moved the same day in the morning to 10/2-10-13)

It has been there ever since with no movement. I have yet to receive any email from ATT at all like everyone else is getting.

I am a premier account

It is all a waiting game now.

I think somehow the business customers are getting bent over. Do we have any premiere with a tracking?

Ironically I'm only oremiere because my wife is a teacher and they told us we get a discount. Never said anything about it changing our billing company or anything like that... Sigh.
 
Well, small update. Received another email from ATT with a confirmation of my order but still the same delivery date (10/13 - 10/22) and thanking me for being patient. Not sure if anyone has received something similar or even if it signifies anything.


BTW that flightaware thing is awesome.
 
Is it fedex? Fedex appears to be listing the iPhone as 2lbs. Could be a rounding thing.

i dont think fedex weighs the packages unless they think they are getting screwed. When you make a shipping label you enter the shipment dimensions & weight and it adjust the price to match. I know with out weighing each box it was always easier to over estimate and pay the extra pennies.
 
FYI, I wouldn't cancel my "pre-order". I'm in ATL and none of the local stores have any IP6+ inventory. I think AT&T is trying to reallocate to pre-order thus delaying shipping info.

I was planning on going to an AT&T store tomorrow morning to see if I would be lucky. I'm in the Smyrna area.

Same here i work for the biggest city in SOCAL so i get a nice little discount

I dont believe ANY premier 128 gb iphone has shipped at all
 
To parlay off of what others have said, while I don't "need" a phone tomorrow, I am still using a 5, and it is one in the group with the bad battery, so I am hitting the charger often. It's a real pain and would be nice to at least know what I am dealing with. I can't imagine that with this many phones coming in that it will take another three weeks.

I like the way that sounds. Maybe because a box still hasn't been scanned for us yet the email gets generated automatically.

I'm going with that today :)

Apple replaces the battery for free. I had this done. Check to see if you're eligible.

Just received that dreaded email that the expected shipment is still 10/02/2014 to 10/13/2014 for my iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB SG

We'll I am using a 4 that is slower than dirt, horrible reception and bad battery.. So if anybody needs it, that would be ME! Got the stupid email this morning but I still think we are getting our phones tomorrow. If not, I am writing out my will and going postal in a ATT store....lol...

I hope you're right. Got really discouraged from the email this morning saying 10/2-13.
 
So I was trying to think about the logistics on how all these pre-orders are handled at AT&T.

When you go to a store and buy a new phone it takes them literally 10 -20 minutes to pull up your account, scan your phone, scan new sim card, put in the sim, and activate the phone.

Now remove the activation and add in the time to package and print a shipping label. Even if they streamline the process it takes some time.

Now apple probably gives them an estimate of how many phones they will be receiving, but until the plane is packed, unpacked, and delivered AT&T probably doesn’t know how many they are going to get.

Then to take the time to match up each phone to an account prior to allocating each phone to an account would add a massive amount of time to the processes.

So I think they have an idea of how many phones their getting which they use to generate the shipping estimates. Now after that, till the computer supplies your account to personal (based on order the preorder was processed) who is adding the phone and sim to your account, puts the sim in the phone, and packaging the box they have no idea who getting a phone or not.

Any other way would just add a massive amount of time to the process. This has to be done for hundreds of thousands of phones, it takes time.

Now apple does this to create buzz, they could have announced it on the 12th with a release date of say October 10th and preorders on the October3rd. This would have given them almost a month to get the phones to the US, into the carrier’s warehouses and inventory. Then as the pre-orders happened they could immediately tie IEMI numbers to each order. This would allow them to know exactly who was or was not getting them on launch day.

Or after 7 years of experience they could have developed (att) a more ideal and efficient way of doing it. And apple certainly knew it would be a grand spam and should have been in production sooner. Just two weeks sooner would have made ALL the difference.

More importantly, att is ignoring it's customers. I've yet to see a single statement via any medium. Not the case with other providers, naturally.

Anyone work for the press? Or an online reviewer? Someone who can call corporate and request some answers or a statement?

They have no motivation because they have no pressure on them. We are sitting here arguing amongst ourselves on a site that probably 0 people at corporate have even looked at.
