Totally off topic but never go with insurance through your carrier. Applecare+ is half the cost and they handle you better. Trust me.

And the deductible is half the price, and you can transfer it to a new device...I am definitely getting it since I have a 3 year who shattered my last one..
 
Just annoyed.

Is anyone else just beyond pissed off who ordered early and not receiving tomorrow while others that ordered WAY later are getting theirs?

I have stayed off this forum since knowing that we got a email confirmation about a 10/02 - 10/13 ship date this morning, even though we ordered within the first 4 minutes last Friday morning (2am CST) as Premier (which I think ultimately screwed us).

Luckily our "Cancel Pre-order" button is appearing again so that might give hope IF we decide to go to AT&T store to get our upgrade and just do that at the store.

I'm just beyond upset as a AT&T customer. I went to Twitter and tweeted about the horrible situation. Verizon was quick to respond saying they would love for us to switch... ha!

Sorry, just had to vent and let it all out. Really annoyed even though I know it's not the end of the world.

AppleCare is great. I wish they offered lost/stolen support at a higher deductible. Thats the only reason I keep carrier insurance.
 
Question for those with UPS My Choice & FedEx Express, (if you received a tracking number from AT&T) did you receive any notice before AT&T sent you the tracking number?

You can't transfer it to another device. But you CAN cancel the policy part way through and get a prorated refund for the remaining policy.
 
I just screenshot the post on twitter! @dbeautyjunkie some guy was thanking them for bumping his order to 9/17 - 9/18 delivery for their error with his premier order! The guys twitter is @deamontmaster they bumped him from 10/14 - 11/03

Crazy. They finally got back to me and said they'll call me tonight. I'm not holding my breath.
 
Here's an odd one. A little after orders opened, I went with ATT like most due to the Apple site issues. Ordered a 6 for me and a 6+ 128GB in Silver for the wifey.

Received the shipping info for mine, and not surprisingly I am still waiting on hers. However, when I looked at the weight of the packaged shipped, it's coming in at 2lbs which is noticeably heavier than what others have been posting from their shipping info.

Any idea if in the past they consolidated the shipping on multiple phones going to the same address?

Seen them combine, seen them not combine. sometimes FedEx weights heavier than UPS which is at 1.4 for plus and 1.3 for just the 6
 
Just for fun, I called a premier rep just now. (I am in between jobs and need something to pass the time cause I can only go to the gym for two hours of the day) I didn't expect any new info, but he told me my orders are complete and activated and awaiting shipment in a warehouse. But don't ya know my shipping dates are 10/2-10/13. The phone is ready to go but it's just gonna sit in a warehouse for another two weeks? Goes to show that the dates we see on the website are totally unreliable.
 
From a reddit thread about At&T 6+ orders... Who knows if true, but i'll believe anything by now:

Apparently the premier orders had to be approved manually by the premier office.
That office didn't open until 8AM EST.
i.e. Anyone who ordered on Premier essentially ordered at 5+ hours after pre-orders opened, that is why the ship date is that far out.

I got my contract 6 minutes after I ordered at 11:56pm. So I doubt it.

Same situation here. It's been debated but the thought is the weight is irrelevant and it's likely the one phone.
 
I'm still waiting. Ordered a 6+ G 128GB at 2:45 AM ET. Got confirmation email at 2:51 AM ET. Still nothing and still 10/2 - 10/13. No one at AT&T can say anything. This is beyond frustrating.

Good thing is I also upgraded my Verizon line at the same time and that one shipped already and is waiting to be delivered tomorrow.

I did some math and assuming that you have Verizon (this is the only number I know) and you keep your phone for 2 years you pay a ton of money.
$10/month for 24 months = $240
A "accidental damage" replacement is $169 so if you did 2 of those it would be $338
Add them both together and you're paying $570.

Compare that to Applecare where you pay $99 up front and each accidental damage is $79 so at most you're paying $257 at most.

Only upside of insurance is I think you can have more than 2 "accidental damage" claims.

Just sayin'.

I'm going with Square Trade personally. Can do it month to month so it makes more sense if you're on Next and trading in after a year.

MattR is a liar, and you should have sent him the screen shot of that other guy who had them bumped up. I'm waiting until I get home to chat with an agent.

ATT customer care was no help for me today. They just emailed me my confirmation info which I already KNOW -- duh stupid AT&T. :(

Maybe he got them to, maybe not. Could he a PR stunt.

Either way, it's pointless at this point to contact ATT and expect anything new or productive.
 
So I've been one of the eternal optimists up to this point, and I haven't given up all hope yet. But it is a debacle. Premiere 128GB silver 6+. Ordered at 2:31 a.m. central with the confirmation email at 6:24 a.m. central.

Dear God, Buddha, Satan, Gaea - Earth-Mother, Kate Bush, Tinkerbell, Wonderful Wizard of Oz, anyone who is actually listening.

I am trying very hard to maintain a positive attitude, and have faith that regardless of AT&T's f-d up systems, that I will receive my new iPhone to-morrow.

As you in your infinite wisdom know, I am not an optimist by nature, being much more of a "glass half empty - if not smashed on the floor" type of guy, but I have tried so hard, and got up so early to place my order.

If you could see your way to making sure that I receive my iPhone to-morrow, I would be eternally grateful.
 
Ugh. I just want my phone. I got my ass up at 3:00 am to preorder and at a minimum if I can't get my phone tomorrow I'd at least like to know WHEN it is going to arrive. This doesn't seem like too much to ask to me.

Same thing the rep told me earlier this morning when I called in to see if I can cancel. She said its in the warehouse and ready to ship. Still think reps aren't sure. I know some people will take this news as "omg theres a chance that it'll come tomorrow" but they're just hanging onto whatever favorable answer the rep might say while ignoring any of the negative outcome answers lol.
