So, I preordered my 6+ 16GB at 10:30 am CST on Friday and got the initial confirmation email. Great, right? I haven't heard anything from AT&T in regards to my preorder as of Tuesday the 16th. My card wasn't charged, nor did I have the $1 hold like many of you did. I didn't even have a shipping time. All it said was, "Status: Pending. Expected shipping date: Pending Confirmation."
So, I try canceling my pre-order twice, both times through the Premier site. Weird. I then decide to go in store on Monday and try to cancel my pre-order again. No dice. The AT&T employee couldn't give me a straight answer in regards to what the hell is going on. I call the Premier toll free number, and after being on hold for 30+ minutes I finally get through.
Turns out that my card didn't go through the order. And as I said, AT&T didn't contact me over the 4 days to let me know that even though it clearly states in the e-mail, "Your order may be subject to AT&T eligibility and credit requirements. If we have any questions, we'll contact you via email." At this point I still want my pre-order canceled cause if my card is accepted now then who knows when I'll get my phone.
So they cancel it and tell me they'll be able to reverse my upgrade to its previous status. First part was no problem, but it turns out that my upgrade is gone due to the fact that I "exceeded" my cancellations of my pre-order. I now have to wait to get a call from whomever so they can try to fix that. Looks like I'm not getting an 6+ on launch day.
Sorry for the rant for a first post haha. It's been a hellish weekend.
