Yippee! As of this morning I too now have a tracking number for 1of3 of my orders. It shows up when logged into my ATT account under 'my orders'. It is a FedEx tracking number, but my FedEx account is not showing a status yet. It shows that my iPhone 6 128gb (gold) has shipped! Now waiting on the 6 128gb space grey and 6 128gb silver. Hoping the other two ship sometime today.
edit: Fyi, when I click on tracking number within my ATT account it pulls up fedex.com and shows a tracking history that actually started Sunday in Ft Worth. It shows to still be in Ft Worth which is fine by me since I only live 30min south and expect delivery by Friday.

Mine has not changed at all since I ordered on Friday 9/12 at around 12:35am PST
Looks like you're getting it on launch day, I'm not sure why you're mad or what you're hoping the dates will change to.

Now the only hard part left is - on launch day.. taking the WHOLE DAY off and waiting for the shipment to come - sometimes as late at 8pm.. And both FedEx and UPS require signature.. Ugh..

Technically, when they do not have the item in stock, i.e. PreOrder, it is basically the same as backordered. That same thing also happened to me before

Yeah as of now the FedEx Tracking I signed up for at the fedex web site similar to UPS MyChoice (which I've also been monitoring) is not showing anything at all, but clicking on the tracking number via ATT is showing a status at fedex's web site. go figure
I see it as some progress. I am not fret about it unless it gets past that date and still no phone. The only thing that bothers me is the waking up at 3am to place the order and it still be 3 weeks out. Could have slept in and still had the same status.
Mine (iP6 64gb Space Gray) shipped FedEX. Hopefully it will be an early arrival. Would have preferred UPS as they typically deliver before 1pm in my neighborhood. I get far less FedEx stuff, but they are not as consistent in their delivery schedule here.
I've had so many issues with my preorder. I ordered it at about 3:45am EST Friday but I used a credit card in my name, not the account holders, and we live in different zip codes. After over 3 hours of being on hold and finally getting through to people, I somehow ended up with two iphone orders and both saying October ship date
I was obviously really upset about this as the orignial ship date was September 19th. I got up this morning to check the status and my ship date was moved back to Sept 17th-18th! I'm so happy! No tracking number yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Just keep checking it throughout the day. I suspect that the majority of folks will see shipping activity today and tomorrow. Always some wiseguy that gets tracking info earlier in the week but that never happens to me. Again, a great majority will likely get their info today and tomorrow.

My fiances iPhone 6 has shipped though and I have a tracking number from Fedex.
Normally AT&T doesn't require a signature and I don't see that it will be required on my FedEx tracking page. They normally have that listed on the page when it is required.

Mine is still grayed out also, I assume once they move to the distribution location, that will change.

Mine still says 10/13-10/21. It's not budging. However, I didn't place the order until about 4 AM PST. Womp womp.

6+ 64GB dates moves up to 10/2-10/13 or something like that. overnight..
my pending charges kept dissapearing and reapperaing lol. as of right now they're gone. woohoo i just got an iphone for free! haha.. but it was kinda weird as my CC rejected the chrage that same day i ordered on the 12th around 3:20a EST. Called the CC company and re-activated the card. then I called AT&T and it was all automated gave the same CC and it went through. But when the pending charges were there I got charged twice slightly different amounts along with the $1 charge. Anyone else get this?

I would suggest you go to a FedEx location not UPS! I am in the metro also and my shipments typically come from Addison, which I think they list as Dallas now. Hopefully I can reroute to my FedEx office location in Frisco and pickup on my way home from the airport on Sunday morning!
I'm in the same boat, I have the 9/17-9/18 shipping date, but nothing for tracking or carrier. Still preparing for shipment. However, I do have MyUPS tracking for that order, but not for my wife's phone yet.
