AT&T Pre-order status

ordered my iPhone 6+ Space Grey 64GB finally at 05.11am pacific US time from apple. Here is the timeline thus far:

9/12: ordered phone said 3-4 weeks for delivery
9/12-9/17: 3-4 weeks for delivery

My order (6 128gb) has been in a preparing shipment status since Friday- ordered at 3:15 AM. This morning there was no tracking data on FedEx or UPS and the pending charges disappeared- status still said Pending Shipment. Called ATT and he was able to give me a FedEx tracking number and the package has been with FedEx since Sunday and left Fort Worth (to Chicago) on Monday night at 11:50PM.

Now my status on ATT says shipped and there is a tracking number listed. I can rest a little easier now!

Where did you call? Might give that a try, been in the same situation all week.

Well THIS was a pleasant surprise! I just received a text message notification that my iPhone 6 Plus - originally estimated to be shipped 10/2-10/13 (bumped from 10/13-10/22) - has actually shipped and will arrive on Friday. WHOO!

So, hang in there if you placed your order online relatively early. I got mine in at 1:30a PT through the AT&T site.

Interesting to note that stock has been sitting in Fort Worth, TX since Monday.

Yup, me too. There's 2 numbers - one number I call says it's backordered - other number says it's been sent to warehouse. iPhone 6+ - and the website doesn't say anything about it being backordered. So weird.

i didn't know there was another number. yeah, it is weird. I guess we'll see Friday or if an email is sent out today or tomorrow for delivery

Just got a confirmation (in last 5 minutes) that my iphone 6 Plus, 64GB, Gold -- ordered from ATT site at 2:55AMEST - is SHIPPED. Got a FedEx tracking number. Mine is also showing that it was in Texas as of the 15th!

It's pretty annoying to think that they've had the phone since monday and they have to hold it because Apple wants it all delivered ON a certain day. Seems like it would take the stress off the companies if they could deliver them as they got them in. Not really sure what the advantage is of them holding them since they probably come preinstalled with IOS8. Oh well, just impatient knowing that my phone is sitting in some FeEx store room.

I got my final tracking number. All three 6's have shipped. 1 16 silver. 1 64 silver. And 1 64 space gray. One was picked up Saturday. Sunday. And this morning. I hope the cases and screen protectors ship soon as well

Seems like all the FedEx tracking numbers are posting first.

If I ordered my 16gb Gold iPhone 6 on 9/15, when do all you guys think I'll get it? The delivery dates are 9/24-10/3. Hoping to get it earlier!

I'm getting 10/13-10/31 for the regular iPhone 6 64 GB in space grey. I ordered from a company-owned AT&T store in the evening on pre-order day. I would've done the online preorder, but AT&T reps had told me the night before that I had to do the order in store to get the $200 trade-in on my iPhone 4S. Seems barely worth the trouble in retrospect.

Personally, I really feel lied to because the rep in the store told me specifically and repeatedly that the ETA on the 6+ wasn't until November, but he guaranteed that I'd have the 6 on launch day or Saturday, if the shipping carrier couldn't make the delivery by Friday night. After I left the store, I got an email with the October timeframe. I went back to the store, but no one wanted to talk to me, the queue was 10 people, and my rep had left.

Anyway, I called AT&T at their main line and they said they couldn't help me and said AT&T Premier was handling all pre-orders. I told the guy I ordered in store, and he said those too and transferred me. After 45 minutes, AT&T Premier picks up and tells me they don't handle my order. I got angry and she looked my stuff up and told me the same as the online status has always said. I called the other phone number in the email and the automated message said my order was backordered and didn't give any dates.

All told, I really feel like I've been lied to and poorly treated by AT&T all along the way, despite them charging me and my family over $200 a month now and we've had them from before their Cingular days.

I'm less pissed about the October timeframe for when I ordered (although that's still crazy) but because I'd have either made my prorder online that night or just bought from Apple if they had just been honest and accurate with their information from the get-go. I hate that company.

You'll get a code for the trade in when you receive your phone, then you fill it out online and they send you a box. so don't worry about the trade in.

That's weird. I ordered mine about 2 hours before yours and still have the 10/13-10/31 Ship Date, as stated initially. I wonder how they are allocating these phones. When I talked to the rep, he said they are being sent out in batches, and I should not expect the Iphone for 21-35 business days. I am also holding out hope that it might get here on time.

I ordered one within 39mins of open and the other an hr and 5 mins after order. I know, I know!! I ordered a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus in space gray a little before 1AM PST, e-mail received at 2:28AM PST. Order still shows as expected delivery 10/2 to 10/13 on AT&T Premiere. Called that 877 # you listed above and it says on backorder. Looks like I'm not getting it this Friday.

You ordered 2 hours after pre-orders opened. You most likely wouldn't have gotten the first batch no matter where you ordered.
