same thing. I'm in Miami. ordered 128gb sg regular 6. still shows preparing for shipment 17-18 delivered 19. still not tracking and haven't found anything on those sites. placed my order about 430am on the 12th our time. I hope They let me know if it's gonna be delayed so I can head to the store early Friday morning

I'm in Miami and my IP6 and my wife's IP6+ are scheduled to be here Friday 9/19.
Check UPS MyChoice for your IP6. My wife's IP6+ is coming Fedex, so check UPS.
 
Actually, I just checked again and I have a Fed Ex tracking number!

It's in Forth Worth and will be delivered before 3PM on Friday!

Awesome!! I just checked mine as well and it is also in Ft Worth with delivery by 3pm. It says that it shipped 9/15 so earlier than what ATT said with the expected ship date of 9/17 or 9/18

Maybe we are on the same truck lol.
 
Ordered one phone, but AT&T is sending two!

I placed my preorder around 4:30amET on the 12th for a 128GB Gray 6. On the website, I received my order number and confirmation that the phone would arrive on the 19th. I got an email the next day confirming the order, but pushing out the ship date to 10/13-10/31. I know AT&T does this every year with preorders, there are system glitches (despite almost a decade of iPhone releases) and that as phones are reconciled to orders, it eventually gets worked out.

My card had a hold placed on it, and when I checked my order status online, it was processing, so far, so good.

Last night, the status changed to preparing to ship, and though I only ordered one phone, my account now showed TWO phones, both preparing to ship but with different dates, one in the 10/13-10/31 range the other 10/15-11/04. The order numbers were identical except the later one had a hyphen and 1 (-1) at the end of the order number.

I called AT&T and by the luck of the draw, got a knowledgeable rep to find out what was going on, who got her manager involved as well. Here is what I can share:

Big surprise, but they said that they are NOT relying on the dates for delivery the system is producing. They are relying on your ORIGINAL order date and time to determine when you get a phone (your place in the queue), assuming there is not an issue with processing your payment. I really could not get any clarification beyond that with respect to those that ordered a phone before the “official” launch of the presale.

They are having trouble (surprise again) with TIMELY shipping confirmation notifications and tracking numbers. The best indicator and their policy is to charge you only AFTER your phone has shipped. This is different from a hold, or pending charge, this is a charge that is actually being processed by your bank.

They had me check my account and sure enough, I was in fact charged for TWO phones and they said that both phones will arrive on Friday, and that I would not have been charged otherwise, although I don't have a shipping confirmation or tracking number as of yet. They wanted to cancel one of the orders and had them slow their roll…I did not want ANYTHING canceled given their system glitches, it could cancel out everything…I can easily return a phone and they agreed, as there is a return label that ships with the phone as well.

So I’ve not heard of anyone ordering one phone and getting two like I did, but my advice is to check your order for an additional entry. Finally if you have been actually charged, as opposed to a hold being applied, and that is what your bank statement shows, then irrespective of the AT&T order misinformation system; you will more than likely get your phone by Friday.
 
i will be using the Delivery Status app by Junecloud for my FedEx tracking as it does push notifications on changes for iPhone/iPad/Mac. The FedEx app leaves A LOT to be desired compared to UPS. if you get a lot of packages delivered, it's a great app. and no, I own no interest in the company that puts out the app.

The FedEx app is pretty pathetic.

I told the guy I was buying from in the store about the trade and he said to just bring it in once I got the phone, but I don't have any sort of note that I want to do a trade, and this guy clearly misrepresented other material fact to me, so I don't exactly trust him anymore. Whole thing sucks.

No worries about when you *get* the phone...they care about when you *ordered* the phone. From ATT's website:

I'm in a similar boat. I have a good friend who works for ATT. I ordered my phone through him in store. Once I saw that I had a ship date of 10/13 for my 6 I asked if I could still get the trade in deal on my 5S, he said I could and luckily he said that via FB message so I have it in writing in a sense.
 
Okay, both my wife's phone and mine have been shipped. I have FedEx tracking on both. Now to see if I can get FedEx to hold at the facility so I can go get it that morning!

Things don't change AT ALL sorry! Every pre order has been the same mayhem. This is no different than the iPhone 4! In fact it's worse. Far more phones have been ordered. I don't have a clue why you think you know different but I guess that's the real world you live in.
 
Ok so here is my story but first i wanna say that some or even most of you guys may receive your 6+ phones on launch day.

I ordered a 6+ 64gb silver one at 3:05am EST on 9/12. It immediately said that it would ship btwn 14-21 days. I was immediately bummed wishing i had waited to order from apple. I got a confrmtn a few min later and later that afternoon got a text saying it was processed and went to warehouse for shipment. I had the dates 10/2-10/13.
I want to say on sunday it went on backorder and that was not a good feeling. I was about to give up on hopes of getting it launch day then later in the day it went back to the original dates of 10/2-10/13. I figured there was hope, but still not too hopeful.
Also my credit card auth disappeared yesterday and i thought maybe?
Early this morning i checked and it still had the same dates. I checked my status again at around 11am today and i was pleasantly surprised to see it say shipped!! WOOHOO! So it is set to be delivered this friday! #

So dont give up hope! You might still get it on friday!!



Looks like its coming from fort worth and for me it will be getting delivered to fort worth as well. Hopefully it will just slip through the crack and will get delivered sooner than friday! I remember when 5 came out, i got it day before too.
 
I ordered a 6+ silver 16gb on 9/12 @ about 3:15a.m eastern time an mine is showing 10/02 to 10/13. Anyone else order the silver 16gb have a tracking #? Thanks

Thanks, that's what they directed me to when I asked for a confirmation in writing. It's got me relatively at ease, but I'm disquieted by the fact that it's just seemingly geared towards online orders and doesn't mention retail stores. Like, none of the emails they've sent me have mentioned the trade in instructions like the rest of the page on ATT.com says I should expect. But, yeah, I'm calm about it for now, but still mistrustful. Thanks.
 
I ordered a 6 Plus 128 GB immediately when ordering opened on AT&T's website. My initial shipping date was 10/13 to 10/22. Then it changed to 10/2 to 10/13. Then it changed to 10/2 to 10/3.

I just received a notice that my phone shipped today.
 
Something strange - my CC was originally charged on the 12th when I ordered the phone (not sure whether it was a temp auth or regular charge). Anyway, my phone shipped and is scheduled for delivery on Friday, however, the charge is no longer on my CC. Did this happen to anyone else? Any thoughts?

Same here! I have a tracking number with delivery on Friday but no charge on my CC! FREE IPHONES!! hahaha:D

ordered my iPhone 6+ Space Grey 128GB finally at 02.58am central US time from AT&T. Here is the timeline thus far:

09/12/14
02:58 am ordered
03:00 am money out of account but in pending status
06:17 am email stating the order has been sent to warehouse and will ship 10/13 to 10/22. Status: Preparing to ship
09:01 am receive text saying "congratulations" order processed and sent to warehouse

09/15/14
Shipping status moves to 10/02 to 10/13 still in preparing to ship status
Money still pending in account

09/17/14
Shipping status moves to 10/02 to 10/13 still in preparing to ship status
Money put back into account
Called the 800 number: says order now on backorder.
Does not show this on website.


Oh well it'll arrive when it arrives!


Yup, me too. There's 2 numbers - one number I call says it's backordered - other number says it's been sent to warehouse. iPhone 6+ - and the website doesn't say anything about it being backordered. So weird. :rolleyes::apple:

ordered mine on through ATT.com 09/12 around 2:50am eastern

the mrs' 6+ 64gb Gold was showing "in progress" and delivery date of 10/02 - 10/09 up to this morning (her order went in second), she just got a confirmation text that it has shipped along with her FedEx tracking, ATT.com site shows this as well

mine is a 6+ 128kb was showing "in progress" and delivery date of 10/02 - 10/09 up to this morning, now it shows "preparing to ship", hopefully my text will come through soon as well.

Thank you for passing this along. I have full hope and confidence in everything you've written here, but I will say that I was charged the full amount ($324 and change) the moment I completed the pre-order in store and that's since gone from a pending charge to a posted charge on my credit card in the typical timeframe for all usual transactions, and I haven't had any indication that my phone was anything but backordered through October.

This is great news for myself. I'm another 128+. Went from November something to 10/13-22 to 10/2-13 last night. This gives me hope.

Anyone with shipping out of Memphis? I'm in St. Louis and I believe previous fedex shipments here all came out of the Memphis hub.
