AT&T Pre-order status

I'll be at work but someone should be home.

Does anyone know if we have to sign for delivery even though it was ordered through ATT? I read somewhere that you actually sign for delivery when you resign the contract. So if you aren't home it'll be left on the door step. hmm.

I'm beginning to think there is no 866 number because it keeps getting mentioned as a source of positive news but then no one ever says what the 866 number is.

U have to be a cool Kid to get it they don't just give the E com number to anyone you have to be transferred or get the number from a rep

No tracking yet, but he was saying that people who even had their ETA in NOV will probably get theirs too. I'm in Brooklyn and I talked to the store a couple blocks away.

I got the same thing. I don't think there is actually a phone at a warehouse waiting to be shipped for me. I think this means they just processed our order and are waiting to assign a phone to us to ship.

I've pre-ordered two previous iPhones in the past one with Apple and one with AT&T.
I had to sign for both but there's always someone home to do so if I can't be there.
You could also leave a signed note on the door stating to leave it at the front door or some other location on your property.

oh i was up at 3am and had 2 phones pre ordered from apples site to only find out when i woke that my type of plan could not be ordered through the apple store. So after 2hrs on the phone (att's system was over loaded) i placed my order.

Keep in mind that AT&T Company Stores are more likely to have deeper stock than Authorized Retailers. If you're not sure which your store is, check the map on att.com.
