AT&T Pre-order status

ordered my phone on 9/11 at 11:58. got the iphone 6 plus 64g Space Gray. order status still states "Preparing to Ship" 10/2 - 10/13. I went directly through ATT and i am really starting to rethink this.

Has anyone ordered a 6 Plus space gray through ATT?

Yep. Still preparing to ship with an even later date. I couldn't cancel the pre-order with the att store, they tried. I tried. I could've gotten a phone in my hand and this pre order is holding my eligibility hostage. People didn't even pre-order here and waited 3 hours and walked out with a new iPhone in 15 minutes.

I was there a total of 5 hours between line and dealing with AT&T only to be told that I have to wait till october till my phone ships because they can't upgrade me because of the pre-order sitting in the warehouse (even though it has been the last week.)

At this point, I think all of us stuck with 10/2-10/13 will most likely get it next week.

I sure hope so because this is down right frustrating...really wish i just would have gone to the source but i was afraid of loosing my unlimited data plan.

Anyone else think part of this problem is Apple has WAY too many SKUs now?

Rewind 2 years ago and you had the iPhone 5 and 4s with 2 color options and 3 sizes. Total of 12 options, maybe 14 if the 4 was still available in 2 colors and only 1 size option.

Today?

iPhone 6+ = 9 options
iPhone 6 = 9 options
iPhone 5s = 6 options
iPhone 5c = 5 options

Total of 29 options.

Actually, there are 27 varieties of the just the 6. Same for the 6P.
3 colors
3 storage sizes
3 carrier types (ex: GSM - A1549, CDMA - A1549, SCDMA/TDD - A1586; no idea why GSM/CDMA have same model on Apple website...)

Imagine figuring out how to 'guess' how many of each type to send manufacture and provide to carriers. I'm with you, too many options. Should have destroyed the 16 GB and offered only 32 and 128. And possibly put one color on a delay.

Initial ship date was 9/17 - 9/19 (via AT&T text)

Order status ship date on Monday (via web premier): 11/9-11/27

Pending cc charges have disappeared as of Monday.

Called every AT&T number possible, talked to about 15 foreign guys named Alex, none of which knew what was going on or how to transfer me to an American. But they sure reassured me a hundred times that my call was very important to AT&T.

Useless.

Was showing shipment on 17/18 Sept from start to finish

Arrived at 11:30 today UPS. No signature required.

Can hardly wait till its finished transferring old phone info.

BTW I was tracking this. It went from China to Alaska to Louisville to Orange CA and then to Portland. Seems like some double backing going on?

iPhone 6 SG 64GB Shipped!

Ordered a 6 - SG 64GB on the 12th at 2:10 PM ET (ATT store). The order status has been "Preparing to ship" 10/13 - 10/31 ever since. Yesterday about 4:30 PM got an email saying to still expect shipment between the dates provided (the ones above). So I was resigned to not having delivery in Sept. which would have been fine. Was at least hoping for a little bump forward in dates given all the moves up people are seeing.

Well... it was shipped today. Left Ft. Worth this afternoon via FedEX and will be delivered by 8pm Monday. Hoorah!

I got a text from AT&T saying my phone shipped today at 8am. The phone was left at door at 10:48... So yea the system is way off. Fedex shows it shipped on Tuesday. Was just in limbo a few days I guess.

Just got my FedEx delivery manager email saying my phone was delivered. No signature was required. I am heading home now to get it before my neighbor steals it.

I have a date of 10/2- 10/13 as well which is what it is. The thing that really pisses me off is that my ATT bill came in and the charge for the $40 activation fee is already on my bill as well as some other new charges for this phone that I have not yet received...

I just walked into my local store and got the 6 128GB Silver, I waited a total of 4 minutes, and because of all my preorder issues, they gave me a free iPhone case! Also took advantage of $200 bucks off iPad mini Retina with data... Oh, also got an extra GB of data and my plan is $10 less!! So happy now, never will preorder again.

Weird. I ordered from AT&T around 4am EDT after trying forever using the Apple Store app. It said 9/19 delivery when I ordered and sure enough I have it now.

I know I'm not some royal person and there are A LOT of pissed off folks like me, but I ordered my 6+ at 2:45 EST in the morning. Yet people ordering the same day at like 10:00 AM are getting there's today? WTF at&t! How do they not have some sort of order queue? It's ridiculous. I'm not mad at anyone who got their 6+ today. In fact, I'm happy for them. It's nice to see people get a stroke of luck going their way. I'm just mad that for all my troubles of waking up in the middle of the night to order my phone have practically gone to waste, being that I still have gotten no confirmation of shipment from at&t. So at&t, GET IT RIGHT NEXT YEAR!!!!
