I have been lurking around this thread the past week but I wanted to post this. I placed my pre-order through an AT&T store at about 4:30pm on 9/12 (iPhone 6, 16GB, SG). I had no delusions of getting it on launch day but I did have a question that I hope someone would be able to answer: All through last week when I would dial the 877 number i would get the message that the items I had ordered were backordered and would ship when they arrive. Last night I dialed the number and was told that it was processing and it would be expected by the 10/13 - 10/31 date that I have had since I placed the ordered. How should I interpret that? Not so much the dates but rather the change from backorder to processing. Online order status still says "preparing for shipment" with the 10/13 - 10/31 date.

I just got shipment notification today. I placed my order through Premier on the morning of the 12th (preorder). It was originally 10/31-11/11 and then changed to the usual 10/2-10/13 for shipping. Got the shipment notification this morning and it says expected delivery is Tuesday by 3PM PST.

I already had b****ed at AT&T for that very reason. People who ordered the same configuration as I did but did it AFTER me got theirs on Friday. I told them that isn't cool, its bad business and it isn't fair to me and others who sit up waiting like that to pre-order.

I keep seeing conflicting answers on this...but can anyone confirm if you can do store pick up at the Apple store with At&t Next upgrade?? My local Apple store has the IP6 Plus that I want in stock. I just don't want to cancel mine only to find out I can't do store pick up.

I have the same exact model and order status as u, i pre ordered my iphone on the 13th at my local att store. But my status still hasnt changed ):
This is correct information: you can do the Next upgrade if: Your device is paid off and you have no more installments left.
You CANNOT preorder online for pick up. You must go to the Apple store and wait in line.
That is the only way it can be done
Nevermind!!! Just got my tracking number from fedex! For those wondering I ordered at 2:22am CST on 9/12: Iphone 6 Plus 128 GB Silver. I am premier customer as well.
I believe you can since on Apple's website it clearly states when you select ATT the NEXT plan is an option. I cannot proceed further to test since I aready have preordered through ATT (premier)

AT&T is officially on Crack. I canceled my pre order yesterday or at least I thought I did. I was planning on picking up one at an Apple store but no luck. So anyways, I just received an email for the order that was supposedly cancelled and it has shipped and im supposed to get it on Tuesday. IPhone 64 GB gold plus. ordered at 12:04 A.M.

I ordered my 6+ through AT&T, because the Apple website was down from its supposed opening time. I got through to AT&T by 1 pm, ordered my phone, and was given a shipping date in the middle of October. However, FEDEX knocked on my door at 11am on the 19th, and I received my phone on opening day, much to my surprise. My friend, who ordered a 6 on his computer about 20 minutes ahead of me, received his by UPS late that evening, at around 7:30.
We are pleased. I am REALLY pleased. The 6+ is gorgeous, light and elegant, ditto an Apple black leather case. Everything works better. Fingerprint went through on the first try, unlike the 5S that took me about 10 tries before it was reliable. Hey Siri is an amazingly useful new option, and voice clarity is much much better on phonecalls.

Yesterday I went to go cancel my order and ATT wouldn't let me.
Called customer service, they couldn't cancel either because they said my phone was at the warehouse for shipping.
Just got the tracking information today. Scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.
