AT&T Pre-order status

Well mine just changed this morning from 11/9-11/27 to 10/31-11/11, so I have a feeling we will all see some dates sorting out soon. I have no illusion that I am getting my phone on the 19th, but at least delivery won't be attempted while I am out of town for Thanksgiving :)

i just believe this will continue to happen for the next 4 or 5 days...if you got an order in within the first 20mins of the website being live, i think you're fine, the orders are starting to settle and the correct shipping dates will be posted by Weds!

No, the system is just getting things sorted out based on info from Apple. I imagine that most of the folks with 3-4 week shipping dates are to actually get there's closer to or on 9/19 then they think.

I just checked mine as well. It changed to Pending Confirmation. But if you check on the Wireless page: http://www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus - mine changed from "Preparing for Shipment" to "Processing".
 
I've had 10/13-10/22 from the start (6+ 64gb gray ordered at 12:39am PST) so I'm hoping for a status change too!

When I ordered my 5 through Premier two years ago it showed "back ordered" most of the week until it flipped a couple days before delivery.

Status update as of 9/14...

1st order has been pushed back from 10/2 to 10/13 - 10/22
2nd order moved from 10/13 to back-ordered...
3rd order moved up from 10/31 to 10/13 - 10/22

sucks.

No. AT&T can't estimate how long you will take to receive your order. As a result, their system likely estimated longer, and now is becoming more accurate.

Too long?

Not even Apple can do better right now. 3-4 weeks on everything 6Plus.

From a phone coming from ATT, I think this is bearable. I don't like it, but it's better than what I had been thinkin otherwise. Even though I placed my order within the first 15-20 minutes of ATT go-live.
 
Just checked the status of my two 6+ orders and the dates changed from 10/31-11/11 to 10/13-10/22. Yayyyyy for being patient. I think the dates will change again as things sort out.

So I went from initially 9/19, then to 9/23-10/2, then this morning it officially said 'changed your order status to 9/23-10/2' and now it says my shipping date is 9/17-9/18. Hope this stops changing and I get my phone Friday. Definitely feel better, must have finally heard our complaining? I did talk to someone who said they couldn't help me this morning on chat support, but other than I didn't do anything.

Silver 64g i6 ordered 9/12 0430 EST.

Before it was some time in November!

Hopefully they will do this again :)

Ordered my 6+ SG at 2:53am EST. Originally had a shipping date for Oct 14-21. Checked this morning and that has now changed to backordered. :mad:

My order was placed at 11:45a 9/11 when the website went live early. Initially I received the 10/2-10/13 ship date, and now I have been downgraded to the 10/13-10/22 date. I'm not sure if ATT is re arranging the orders.
 
So just for the hell of it I called the 877 order status number and spoke to someone. Online my orders say "back ordered" but the person on the phone said orders have been processed and are just waiting shipping labels. I hope that gets some people to relax a bit.

I have been successful with getting an iPhone on launch day for the past three years. This year doesn't look too stellar for keeping that track record. Would anyone who is complaining about an October ship estimate like to trade for a lovely November ship estimate?
