Yeah I wouldn't worry about it. The website is totally unreliable. I remember when I pre ordered the 4s, it said back ordered the whole time and never provided a tracking number but I received the phones on launch day.

So when the item ships, you can electronically tell them to leave the package, or you can print something out telling them to leave the package.
IMHO, the best method is to do it electronically so thieves don't know what is on your doorstep or that you're expecting something important (i was once a big city dweller where things were stolen all the time)
My 64gb space gray just went from 10/31-11/11 down to 10/13-10/22. I'll take it. I had ordered mine just before 4 a.m. EST. I noticed that my bank charges were originally $439.99, which was just the price of the phone plus the upgrade fee, and at some point yesterday it changed to the price of the phone plus the sales tax. Hopefully the ship dates are becoming more accurate at this point.

Confirmation emails did not come until 4:12am for me even though i ordered mine first and hers came at 3:55ish.

Both of phones were charged to credit card for full price and Status says preparing for shipment. I was a hairs breath away from cancelling when I saw this but I believe at the time of the pre-order there was no allocation of stock to ATT or if there was it was only what they had received.. Apple's dates were so good because they already knew there stock of phones. I hope and think over the next few days these dates will continue to drop for those that got their orders in early (1-2 hrs). Espcially from what I read that the majority of shipments out of China this week and in coming weeks are nothing but Apple products. As that Happens I suspect the dates will come wayyyyy down!

Just cancel the order.. Majority of the iPhone shipments go through Apple.. I ordered mine early Friday.. I had gotten a late shipment. So, I plan to take my chances on Friday. If I can't get it Friday.. try either Saturday or Sunday. Eventually I'll get it. Can't blame AT&T too much.. They can't control what they get..
Same thing happened here. I originally order my phone at midnight and I was quoted for 3 weeks. I cancelled my AT&T order yesterday and reordered with Apple. I have 2 - 3 week shipping now.

Did your credit card get rejected or did it get flagged for fradulent charges IE Chase customer?

I was in the original pre-midnight order group with a ship date of 10/13. Credit card charges, confirmation emails and text messages that device was preparing for shipment all came through quickly.

Check this site: www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus and see if it has changed to Processing. My Premier status went to Pending Confirmation as well, but on the WirelessOrder site it says Processing now instead of Preparing.
Mine says preparing to ship.

I went from an expected ship date of 9/17-9/18 with delivery on 9/19 to now "pending confirmation." I preferred the 9/17-9/18 (I think?) but I will sit tight.
I ordered a 128gb 6 space grey about 3:30am after finally getting through on the apple app but stopped for being in NY which I'm still trying to figure out why NY'ers couldn't order Next through apple.

Thank you to the veterans who commented that this year was much like the years before and that once the dust settles everything would be fine.

By well before u mean like 2 weeks? Lol.
I still think anyone who pre ordered before Friday evening will see their phones the 19th. Their is no reason that Verizon would be shipping orders alrwady and having deliveries held yet att can't get any out. Especially with att being the largest carrier.
Guess time will tell. Regardless I won't pre order from att again. Shoulda used apple.
