AT&T Pre-order status

Once again, laughing hysterically at the people who cancelled their AT&T orders and re ordered with Apple. Ya'll would've gotten your phone on launch day! Bahahahahahaha!!!!

Man, that's not called for. A lot of people take their technology very seriously.

In a month, it won't matter. We'll all have our phones.

Just checked.....and within the last half hour, mine changed from 10/31/14 - 11/11/14* to 10/13/14 - 10/22/14*

Spiffy. Hope that keeps up and turns into 9/19 before friday.

I was in the original pre-midnight order group with a ship date of 10/13. Credit card charges, confirmation emails and text messages that device was preparing for shipment all came through quickly.

Today both phones are now listed as back-ordered

Me too - one of mine 64GB is showing back ordered. But with all the cancellations it should change.

That is not what is causing your order to move up. AT&T is just adjusting their shipment dates based on forecasting.

Maybe some, but I don't think the cancellations are as big of a factor as you think.

This is just BS. I ordered between 1210am pacific time/310am eastern time and 1220am/320am on att.com
Originally it said ships between 14-21 days business.

Now I check order status and it says will 10/31-11/11 shipping. That's closer to 30-40 business days.

iPhone 6 plus 64gb gold.

What even more BS is I ordered 64gb iPhone 6 plus at 345am eastern time/1245am pacific time from ipad apple store app for my wife and hers will deliver by September 19th.

I hear ya. I ordered two from the same place, same model, except for one almost 2 hours later than the first. The later one is slated to be delivered sooner. Among many other reasons - this is why I put basically 0 stock in their screwy date estimations. I'm usually not very optimistic but I'm betting this is gonna be a lot of hooplah for nothing.

Remember the 5s? Mine said like 10/19 and it arrived on time. The problem is not knowing and potentially having walk ins get a phone when u don't have one yet. That's enough to drive me crazy.

They lied to a lot of us. What can we collectively do as a group to show them this is unacceptable for a reputable company to do?

1.) switch carries (we'll end up getting the phones later than we are planned to get them now and other carries are just as scummy)
2.) complain (manager please? manager please? probably wont get us a thing)

Do we have any power as consumers?

You should write a letter. That will show them.

Maybe. I think AT&T's initial shipping estimates were conservative from the start. I don't think cancelations have anything to do with it. But to each his own.

And there's no way AT&T is getting a 25% preorder cancellation rate. That's almost impossible, because more than 75% of users aren't paying as much attention as we are.

Ordered my 6+ SG at 2:53am EST. Originally had a shipping date for Oct 14-21. Checked this morning and that has now changed to backordered.

Yeah da *** is a backorder.

I think it's probably better than a projected ship date. AT&T gets new inventory quite frequently I imagine.

Thank you to the veterans who commented that this year was much like the years before and that once the dust settles everything would be fine.

My ship date has already changed from 10/13 to 10/31 to:

Expected Ship Date: 09/17/2014 To 09/18/2014

Most of us were getting all worked up over nothing. Granted AT&T's system is a little messed up but I think we'll be ok.

BTW I ordered two 6's, 64GB, Space Gray at 3:09 and 3:19 AM.

I ordered 6+ around 8AM EST and got 10/12 - 10/23 ))

I preordered a 6+ 64GB in space gray at 3:10 am EST. I received the 10/31 - 11/11 date but have since been bumped to 10/13 - 10/22.

Just cancel the order.. Majority of the iPhone shipments go through Apple.. I ordered mine early Friday.. I had gotten a late shipment. So, I plan to take my chances on Friday. If I can't get it Friday.. try either Saturday or Sunday. Eventually I'll get it. Can't blame AT&T too much.. They can't control what they get..

I spent 12 hrs waiting at apple store to get iphone 4 on the first day launch and two years later on the first day launch of iphone 5 i only spend 1 hr waiting to get my iphone 5 at ATT store.
I did try to pre order iphone 6 on first 45 mins at ATT website, but was not successful.

Will iphone 6 and plus be available on 19th at ATT store?
