Went into AT&T on 9-19 to place my order for 6+ 64gb gold. Got shipping date of 11-09 to 11-27. Did anyone else get this same outcome? My status on website still says "preparing for shipment". Has anyone else with the same shipping dates received an update yet?

same situation as you, ordered thru retentions on 9/19 for 6+ 64GB gold, shipping date 11/9 - 11/27. Best case scenario I think we're probably looking at early to mid October.
 
I had 3 iPhone orders cancelled in the past week (no particular reason and with no email warning). Tonight I called ATT and got a great rep who reinstated my order and sent it to the review department--he went out of his way to say that he would make sure my order went through. I have called numerous times in the past few days and it was a real change from what I have been experiencing dealing with other customer service reps.

Perhaps ATT is realizing they need to vastly improve their ordering system and customer support? The whole demeanor of the customer service person was different--his manager even spoke to me afterward to make sure I was satisfied.

I ordered a 64GB iPhone 6 silver. I was told delivery in 14-21 days. I don't know if that is useful info for those still waiting on preorders but that was the time frame given (he checked in his system and told me it was current)

I ordered from the att website on 9/20. My estimated ship date is 10/29-11/07.

Ok, I've been reading all the post since day one and now have decided to contribute my details. iPhone 6+ 64GB SG, ordered 9/11 @11:52PST or 2:52EST for my time zone, received order processing @ 2:52EST and conformation with 10/2-10/13 dates at 2:59EST also later that morning received the 2 texts from at&t. Spent the better part of my day on twitter and the phone with at&t to determine how I ordered early and was on backorder so soon. I finally got a half way honest rep that admitted that they had all been told preorders would begin at 3:01EST but had actually went live at 12:01 CST because that is the time zone that at&t corporate is on. I explained how unfair and misleading it was and she agreed and offered me 3 credits totaling $66.84 which I thought was a nice offer. Ive been patiently waiting and still stuck on the 10/02-10/13 ship dates online and back ordered on the 877 # as of 5 min. ago. Also at the time of ordering I was just a regular customer but after seeing all the premier customers that ordered after me getting their phones, I realized after some research that I get a premier account and discount through school, and went in to a store and showed my school I.D. and they changed me to premier account and I now receive a 15% discount, and hopefully it will get me my phone faster.

Still on Preparing to ship

I have been on preparing to ship since end of preorder day. I completed my order 48 minutes after preorder opened. I have a 10/02/14 - 10/13/14 delivery window. iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey 128GB.

order phone at about 345am est.

called yesterday, it said was back ordered
called this morning. it said processing. then i got the email at 3:30.
will be here tomorrow. im in central florida

Congrats, your one of the ones that ordered the same model I did almost an hour after me and with at&t's apparent new policy (first come, last to receive) you'll get your phone before me. lol @ AT&T

I'm assuming you were already a premier customer @ time of ordering?

Well they sent me a copy of my bill today and they charged me an activation fee of $40.00 for the iPhone 6 plus. That I do not actually have.

Despite my whole debacle with AT&T, mine finally shipped today. Ordered 12:01 a.m. on 9/12. They stated several times my order was cancelled. Why do they have to lie? Sigh.

Anyway...mine finally shipped. First thing I'm gonna do is take it to the AT&T store and see if I can swap it out for a 64 GB one, considering so many people are returning their iPhone 6 Plusses...

I can't believe it should finally be here tomorrow.

-non-premiere
-preordered before 1am Pacific (SoCal)
-iPhone 6 plus 64G Gold
- 1st conf. email: 9/12 @ 1:02 AM (14-21 days)
- 2nd email: 9/15 @ 10:40 PM w/ dates 10/13-10/31
-a few days later, changed to 10/2-10/13

Order statuses say "preparing to ship", and "in progress" 877 says back ordered.

-at least reading this thread keeps me busy lol #

same song and dance like always... The guy on the phone said it will ship the first week of oct..

I think its official .. I give up.. when it gets here it gets here... I've learned my lesson like I'm sure many of you here have as well.

i will never be placing a pre order with ATT ever again.. First and last time. This has been a nightmare since the first moment.. websites crashing...orders never confirming... shipping dates all over the board...

and now to top it off... a 40 dollar charge for a device that i do not have... while almost everyone i know that ordered the next day and slept all night .. got their phones already... oh well... waiting on my new 4k curved samsung tv as well.. I placed that order today... I'm going to just focus my attention on that for the time being...
 
Hi all.

Placed my order for a 6 128GB SG on Monday, September 22 at 9:30a EDT from Business Care after four tries in trying to preorder and purchase at the store on launch day (what a total **** show that was). I have a Premier CRU account.

The online order status has said shipping 10/10-10/21 with a status of Preparing to Ship... since I ordered it but just for s&g's I called the toll free number tonight and put in my information. It said my order was "in process with a ship date of" the above.

From reading in this thread and based on the information from the 877 number, it sounds like it might ship much sooner than expected because it is "in process" - but mine has never shown a status of backordered that I'm aware of.

Is this a vagary of how Premier and/or CRU accounts show status or am I simply lucky?

Threaten to cancel the preorder and/or account. I did and they took that $40 right off. I didn't even blink twice and they offered it to me. I'm guessin I was TALKIN to a rookie. A rookie that probably got fired after hanging up with me.

Probably not! A manager gave me several credits totaling $66.84

Yeah, they do that... Same thing happened to me last year with the 5s. Bad taste but it washed away when that sweet little box arrived.
