10/2-10/13 still backordered on 877 and preparing to ship nonsense on AT&T order page

Same exact thing here. I ordered about 15 minutes before you though. Looks like we'll be sitting here together a while. :mad:

AT&T certainly deserves all the heat they are getting over this mess, but to me Apple kind of screwed up as well. They have completely underestimated the appeal of the larger screen phone for years now, and were caught unprepared on this one.

Don't forget the rumors of up to 50% of the Plus models having issues. I'd say that played a big part in it too.

I completely agree that AT&T is under fire for sure. THEY DID NOT HONOR FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I smell a class action lawsuit.

Checked this morning and my 6+ 64gb space gray phone has shipped! I don't have a tracking number or know which carrier though, but I'll take it!

Thanks! Its going to be so fun unboxing this amazing device. I played with the 6 and 6+ at the apple store the other day. can't see me going to a 6. 6+ is just right for me!

I didn't, I called the 877 number this morning. My order status page is also showing shipped, but there's no other information.

ETA: looked it up on my laptop instead of mobile, it was picked up by Fedex at 7:15 in Memphis. Should be here tomorrow by 3 p.m. :)

I was in the 10/2-10/13 window. I think I had ordered either a bit before or around 4:00 a.m. EST and my confirmation email came about 5:30 a.m. I'm fuzzy on the times because I am sleep deprived taking care of a newborn. I can't remember ****. Ha! Oh, I'm a Premier customer as well.

I ordered around the same time as you.. hopefully we hear something soon.. but I don't feel like we will hear anything until all the Premier orders are taken care of.

I think the mess really snowballed into ATT's lap because the Apple site was so late in accepting preorders. I had no intention of ordering through ATT but after an hour I kinda panicked and got through to order with ATT. So wish I'd known to download the Apple Store app … I'd have my Plus by now :). I'm guessing that Apples allotment to ATT was based on more people pre ordering through Apple so now we're stuck … another one of those Life Lessons learned I guess :)

This is one of the dumbest videos I have seen; and I can't stand how everyone is running with it.

It's only physics... if you put your hand (or anything) on the pressure points of something that long and thing, and use as much force as you can, it will most likely bend.

Look at his hands.. he is shaking he is trying so damn hard to bend it. Don't put it in your ass pocket without a case and sit on it for hours on end and you'll be fine.

I know I have no intentions of grabbing my phone and trying to bend it like that so I don't think I have anything to prepare for.

877 # response to my order. ATT.com still has the same pending shipment crap. Been stuck like that for probably 14 hours now.

I agree. Apple's site issue pushed many people to carrier sites, myself included.

Re: the store app, don't beat yourself up. I tried it (several times) and every time I got up to the very last stage before checkout it would give me a message to the effect that "Customers who use their phones primarily where you do [NYC area] cannot upgrade with Next online. You must visit a retail store to do so." Or something like that.

My nearby cousins were having the same issue.

Anyway, I'm non-premier, ordered 3:48am EST, conf email almost instantly. 128, gold, 6+.

Been stuck on 10/2-10/13 forever, and 877 still says backordered.
