Ordered the 6+16g sg around 9amet (tried in the wee hours and couldn't get anything to work)
Yes, I'm premier.
Orig date was 11/09-11/27

Updated 9 days ago to 10/31-11/11

No change since then. 877 says back ordered.

I would just like to add, that when placing an order, you should have the choice of "I don't care what color I get"! It seems maybe the sg is taking the longest???? I would have liked to have the ability to say I'll take whatever color I can get the fastest. Ho hum......

"Your order is being processed for item number 6643A. The expected ship date is between 10/2/14 and 10/13/14"

877 # response to my order. ATT.com still has the same pending shipment crap. Been stuck like that for probably 14 hours now.

Same response i got when I called at 12:30am last night. I think this is it!!!!!

Anyone else ordered on the 13th?? Delivery set for November...crazy.

Are you premier? If so, you'll probably get a shipping notification today. The trend seems to be AT&T is bumping premier orders to the top of the list regardless of order date.

Ordered a 16GB SG 6+ about 20-30 minutes after pre-orders opened. Original dates of 10/31 - 11/12 bumped up to 10/2 - 10/13 a day or so later. Here's a small piece from an ATT CSR about why some premier members are getting phones faster...

Lindsay: Your device is pending shipment in our warehouse, it will be shipping out soon.

Lindsay: Generally, the shipping time frames are just an estimated shipping date. Until the orders have shipped we are unable to guarantee the delivery date of the order.

Joshua: That isn't the question I asked though. I want to know what method AT&T is using to determine who gets their phone when. It certainly isn't by order time. Is it based on geography, population of service area, length of time as a customer?

Joshua: Some other criteria?

Lindsay: It is based on the queue you are put in when the order placed, there are two different departments you can be placed in, Premier or Consumer. Also the shipping date is estimated on our inventory levels.

Joshua: Well that is helpful. So are the premier customers being serviced first?

Lindsay: No, they both have their own queue. It is first come, first serve, in both departments.

Joshua: That's the part that doesn't make sense to me. Unless several people have lied to me, I have spoken with a lot of people who ordered well AFTER me, same model and color who have received their phones

Lindsay: The people who have ordered after you are probably Premier customers.

Lindsay: They have probably ordered first in that queue which is why they got their device.

Joshua: Alright, then how is it determined which phones are assigned to which queue?

Lindsay: The phone doesn't matter. It is placed when you place the order and which queue you are put in to.

Joshua: Right, but people who are premier and ordered after me are getting the devices. I am asking when AT&T gets a shipment of phones in, how is it determined which ones go to those in the premier queue and which go to the regular queue

Lindsay: Premier are customers who have an employee discount, when they submit their order, it is automatically placed with Premier. Their order number will be different than Consumer customers. I am not sure when another shipment of phones will be updated in our inventory.

Joshua: You are either not understanding or avoiding my question. Lets say there are a million people in the regular queue and a hundred thousand in the premier. AT&T gets a shipment of fifty thousand phones. How many phones are assigned to each queue

Lindsay: I would not know that because our inventory levels are not updated. In Consumer, we get our own shipment of phones. With Premier, I am not sure how their process for inventory is. I only work with Consumer orders that have been placed online.

Joshua: Well I guess I'll just wait some more

Lindsay: You will be getting it much sooner than your estimated shipping date.

Lindsay: Do you have any other questions?

My Wifes 64GB 6+ Gold that has a 10/02/14 - 10/13/14 date (order #162691363...) is still backordered.

My 64GB 6+ SG that has a 10/13/14 - 10/22/14 date (order #162691364...) is still backordered.

Growing more and more restless...

here's my timeline...

1 Iphone 6 64GB Grey (est ship date early Sept)
1 Iphone 6+ 64GB Grey (est ship date Nov)

ordered at an ATT&T company store on 09/13/14
shipped from TX via FedEx on 09/17/14
received both phones on 09/19/14

returned one 6+ unopened to retail store on Launch day 09/19/14 (probably only person in the world to do this) it doesn't fit my hands.

Premier account

was also able to trade-in a 4 for $200 promo card at an ATT store without ordering anything.

fyi - some stores straight out lie to you with false information.

Hey guys, I just ordered two 6+ 64GB for myself and my Mom. I ordered one through AT&T and one through Apple, just to see how they compared.

Apple is saying 3-4 weeks.
AT&T is saying 11/3-11/12

Question: will AT&T allow me to activate whichever one come's first on the line of my choice, or do I have to activate it for the number it was ordered on?

The phones come "pre-activated" so you will have to activate it on the line it was ordered for. You might be able do otherwise if you go in-store but idk. You will most likely get the phone from Apple first. I would advise you to order both from there if you can cancel the other one.

I completely agree that AT&T is under fire for sure. THEY DID NOT HONOR FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I smell a class action lawsuit.

While I do agree that it seems that FIFO is not being honored, and it is very not cool on AT&Ts part, it is ridiculous that you think some sort of lawsuit would hold water here.

In no legally binding way did they tell anyone that first come first serve would apply to pre-orders.

i orderd on 13th at a company store

Sounds to me like she knew what she was talking about to me.
I think there may be different levels of Premier?

Just some information to add to the pile.

Ordered 2 iPhone Plus 128GB SG.
1st was ordered on the 12th at approximately 2:20 CST, second was ordered at maybe 2:25 CST due to issues getting the other line selectable for upgrade.
Both were ordered through the main AT&T site but that redirected to some express site which is Premier (company discount).

The first order went through and originally had a date of 10/31-11/11.
The second order went through and originally had a date of 10/13 - 10/31.
Confirmation for the first one came through around 5 am CST, not sure on the second as it went to my wife's email.

Over the following week both orders eventually ended up in the 10/2 - 10/13 limbo dates. The second order got there first with the first following a couple days later.

Both stayed in that state until around 8:30 pm CST on 9/23. At that point the 877 number changed from backorder to processing for the first order. I received the "Information about your plan" email the next morning around 11:30am or so and it finally shipped somewhere around 1pm through Fedex for delivery today.

The second order changed from backorder to processing on the 877 number around noon yesterday. It included the message confirming the 10/2 - 10/13 delivery dates. I am not sure if my wife received the "information" email or not but that order changed shipped through UPS around 4pm I believe, also for delivery today.

As I didn't want to work from home again today I tried changing the delivery location through Fedex delivery manager and UPS My Choice. UPS would have allowed me to do it, but Fedex did not even have it as an available option for the shipment. Haven't received either yet right now but both are out for delivery currently.

Hope this helps those of you still waiting. Our experience has been very mixed on whether it really was first come first served. At least within our own orders... obviously it wasn't overall though. It started out the opposite and somewhat balanced out over time. Next thing to worry about now is getting the activation fees removed and maybe a credit for the huge hassle this has been.

My order is now listed as "Preparing for Shipment". Am I right that is the last stage of the process? It still lists shipment for Nov 3-12 though.

Also, I have a FAN discount on our plan, does that automatically make me a Premier customer? I don't see Premier mentioned anywhere on my account. Someone mentioned the type of order number you have can indicate your status... ?

My 6+ 64GB Soace grey, ordered at 12:40am pacific on the 12th, went from 7-14 days when ordering to 10/31-11/2 the next day, it then jumped to 10/2-10/13. Yesterday, I called the 877 number just to see, and it now has changed to Backordered!

My own fault for ordering through ATT, I knew I should've gone right through Apple.

No, the preparing for shipment is not the last stage. The first place that myself and many others have found updates is the 877 number found on the att.com order status when you view it through your account. That will change from backordered to processing within up to 24 hours of your order shipping.

FAN discount puts you in Premier. Truthfully, I would figure at least 80% of their customers to be in that category since at least around here you can't spit without hitting an employer that has some discount available.

Thanks rarebeauty. I will try taking the phone into the store to see if that will work. You never know with these things.

I agree Apple will probably be faster. AT&T gave me a $200 trade-in for an iPhone 4 though which seemed like an unbelievable value for that model, so I got one from them.

Pre-ordered Iphone 6 (Not plus) 128 SG on 9/16 around 5pm
Conf. Email received at 5:29pm on 9/16
Just received shipping notification to be delivered tomorrow 9/26
Premier Customer

Question. Been posting here a couple times now and haven't asked what people have for an order number. Here what I have:

Ordered 330am Boston time. 9/12
16GB/SG/6 Plus
Premiere with 10/2-10/13
Order number starts with 88329109

Anybody in the same exact boat, that also has that for an order number???

Got mine

Just want to backup what everyone else has been experiencing:

The 877 number updated yesterday afternoon for me (from backordered to processing), hour or two later the website updated and had no date published, then couple hours after that I got shipment confirmation. In my hands now.

Now I gotta find a big case to fit my thin phone in so I don't bend it. Good Luck everyone.
