Cancelled my pre-order two days ago got notification that my local apple store had 6+'s in stock today came home with 2 6+ 64GB SG's tonight.

The looooong stressful wait is OVER!! I wish you all the best of luck and i hope you all get your phones SOON!!

Thanks, but still no change. Could a couple thousand of you waiting on SG 6 Pluses, esp. the 128GB model, try cancelling your orders as well?

I am not even trying to get the unicorn 6+. Just trying to get a 64GB SG 6. Ordered on 9/22 and beginning of estimated ship window is 10/21. Window is one month long. I cannot imagine why it would take one month to get an item they knew was going to be sought after. And, two months is ridiculous, if it takes that long.

Exact same story for my girlfriend. Ordered through Apple.com on 09/13, iPhone 6 (16GB, Silver), set to ship by 10/02, after which her status was changed to "Backordered". Today AT&T notified her that her phone has been shipped for Thursday delivery. At this point, it's more about relief that the uncertainty is over than anything else.

This is the first news I've seen that the iPhone 6 (16GB, Silver) models are beginning to ship again. I ordered a little later just like someone else on this thread (9/18), and my window is closing today (10/8). Hoping to get some movement here. Thanks for the update!

As my WDW vacation approaches, I am doubting that I'll have the iPhone 6 Plus in time for the trip. If it hasn't shipped by the time I get ready to leave, I think I may cancel and just wait until Apple and AT&T figure out the supply chain. :(

Definitely good to see 16gb 6's shipping again. I ordered on 9/15 and window passed last Friday. Hopefully those of us that haven't gotten notification will soon.

Remember this?

After over 2 weeks, I believe I am finally getting a replacement... What a mess.

I hadn't seen that, but

Do you know what happened?

----------

No idea… I was EXTREMELY surprise to discover that my phone was six weeks old when people have been waiting on these for the last three weeks. Don't know if my situation is the norm or a fluke.

It would be really interesting to see when people got their phones and the manufacture date.

It looks like it was attacked by an animal on my doorstep. Fedex left it without signature.

Been lurking here since pre-orders began and figured I would post an update. I pre-ordered on day one from At&t (big mistake) a 64GB SG 6+ and got stuck in the 11/9-11/27 group like many others. I have been checking iDeviceChecker daily and a 6+ SG 64GB finally popped up today in the Sugar Land/First Colony (Houston area) Apple store. Just so happens I also live 10 minutes away from it! Called in to verify and they do have it, kept them on the line and called At&t on my other line to cancel the pre-order. Apple immediately saw the eligibility update and now it is mine! Picking it up this afternoon! Never ordering from At&t again! Looks like they must have only received a few because iDevice checker is say they are sold out again. Good luck to everyone else!

Here's my situation: preordered a 6+ at 6 am the day preorders opened, but I cancelled it on 10/1 and placed an order for a SG 6 64gb. At the time, it said 21-35 day wait.

However, immediately after placing my order, I got a text saying my phone was sent to the warehouse for shipment. And I have a ship date of 10/6 - 10/8. Very odd.

Question: are the phones shipping on the estimated dates or are they taking longer? ie, Will my likely ship tomorrow?

Update: moved to "backordered, pending shipment" today.

one size

makes ya wonder why they just don't make 1 size phone and allow room for a micro sd card........would simplify their manufacturing process wouldn't it??

I figure I'll throw out my 2-cents after lurking for a few weeks...

I ordered a 6 16gb gray via ATT Premier on 9/17 and immediately recieved an email confirmation stating the shipping dates would be 9/26-10/7. Then, a week later, I got a 2nd email from ATT stating "this is just a friendly confirmation that we have your order processed and we will ship within the dates we gave you".

After seeing others that order the same item having their shipping dates pass and replaced with a "back-ordered" status on the last shipping date, I had a feeling I would have the same happen to me. Sure enough on 10/7 my status changed to "back-ordered". Luckly I've seen others that had the shipping date end on 10/2 get theirs shipped yesterday or today so there could be a 5-day waiting period once your item is listed as back-ordered on the order status website (not via the order state #).

So here is my theory on the order timeline (at least for iPhone 6):

- You will not get it shipped within the timeframe ATT gives you
- Your status will be changed to "back-ordered" on your last shipping date
- The phone (hopefully?) will be shipped 5 days later

If this is the case, I should have my order shipped on 10/13.

Awesome!!! Now I know what to expect since my last shipping date is today. I'm not expecting to see it for another month the way things have been going. Figured I'd already have it, but hopefully I get it before Christmas...

I have never seen anything like this. Occastionally you see backorders on new/hot items, but 1-2 months is excessive. Only hope is that Apple sees all the orders out there and realizes they need to bump production. Unfortunately, there are so many components involved, therefore, a lot of 3rd party manufacturers, that it's unlikely to matter much down stream.

I have been lurking as well and decided to put in my rant.

I ordered a 6 64 in silver on 9/23 and my shipping dates are 10/13-10/22. I also got the second email. Every time I have called AT&T they have assured me that I will have it on time if not before.

Unfortunately from all I have read, it does look like they are at least a week behind and I will be lucky to get mine before Halloween. :(

Local option

a 6+ SG 128 became available at the U village apple store and I contemplated canceling my ATT order to pick it up in store. While I thought about it, someone else snagged it. Gotta act fast.

I'm in the 10/2 -10/13 group. I've waited this long so perhaps I'll stick it out. If it goes past the 13th then I'll cancel and keep looking for a pickup.

So I cancelled my AT&T order. Target in DC seems to have every model in every color. No more shipping shenanigans, got my phone.

For all the people who ordered regular 6s, have you spoken to an exec team member or emailed the CEO? I feel like you guys should be more stern and almost rude having to wait so long for your phone while other carriers are doing better jobs regarding the regular 6 model. The wait should be no longer then a week for an iPhone 6 no matter the color or gb size.
