Too little too late. This is seriously depressing how impossible this phone is to get for anybody. It wouldn't be so bad if I was seeing people talk about getting updates about shipping, but that is far from the truth. Let's hope this update will change a lot of our shipping schedules.
Problem is you don't know if those bulk packages are even on those planes. We don't know til they go thru Memphis sort. There's an Apple distribution center in Nashville Tn we deliver to and we haven't seen bulk shipments (phones) since Wednesday 9/17
That doesn't appear to be the case. Most stores are sold out, but I do see some green dots around the country.
I see 6+ SG 128s out there, but its usually only for Sprint, which explains why its sitting there.

Yeah, I've noticed that there are way more for Sprint than anything, but I did filter for AT&T and saw some. When I was buying my phone for personal pickup through Apple, I had it go out of stock at two different stores before I could complete the order. So a lot of times when something does show up, it may only be one or two phones that they actually have.

I had the same thing happen to me. as i was putting in the credit card info. so I change my apple account cc to the one i wanted to use and used the apple app verses using the web page and bam it made it through in no time.
Here's my situation: preordered a 6+ at 6 am the day preorders opened, but I cancelled it on 10/1 and placed an order for a SG 6 64gb. At the time, it said 21-35 day wait.
However, immediately after placing my order, I got a text saying my phone was sent to the warehouse for shipment. And I have a ship date of 10/6 - 10/8. Very odd.
Question: are the phones shipping on the estimated dates or are they taking longer? ie, Will my likely ship tomorrow?

I just wanted to post an update on my wait for the 6+

Movement: Zero since day one.
Cancelled my pre-order two days ago got notification that my local apple store had 6+'s in stock today came home with 2 6+ 64GB SG's tonight.
The looooong stressful wait is OVER!! I wish you all the best of luck and i hope you all get your phones SOON!!

Why would that seem incredible? Apple decides what they make, based on sub-suppliers. It's been reported they are increasing the ratio of 6+ units to 6, but the suppliers have to ramp up from the previously ordered/scheduled quantities.
With additional countries being added, supply will be even more constrained. ATT is just one of many marketing outlets. Apple stores don't know what they will be receiving, so why would ATT have any more information.
Well i have been reading these post for past couple weeks and have avoided making any posts. But i wanted to give some hope that the day will come to receive shipping confirmation. I ordered sept 13 iPhone 6 16gb and my estimate dates were sept 23-oct 2. once oct 2 came my status went from preparing to ship to backordered. Today oct 7 it went from backordered to processing on 877 #. About 3 hours later it shipped and got tracking # for USPS priority mail. It shipped from Fort Worth TX tonight at around 6:30. Supposed to have it by thursday. I know most of y'all wanted to hear about the + and not this gb but thought i would share.
Exact same story for my girlfriend. Ordered through Apple.com on 09/13, iPhone 6 (16GB, Silver), set to ship by 10/02, after which her status was changed to "Backordered". Today AT&T notified her that her phone has been shipped for Thursday delivery. At this point, it's more about relief that the uncertainty is over than anything else.
I just did today. Only problem I see is you can't reserve online for in-store pickup using Next so I just had to make a mad dash to the store when I noticed they had stock.
If you don't mind, when you receive your phone, can you post your manufacture date? (I use www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html for checking Apple manufacture dates ) I received my iPhone 6 today, but the manufacture date was from the end of August (week 34). Looks like someone's been sitting on these phones
No idea I was EXTREMELY surprise to discover that my phone was six weeks old when people have been waiting on these for the last three weeks. Don't know if my situation is the norm or a fluke.
Hopefully my GF is next ! Ordered a bit later but still waiting and it's been pending shipping since order day. I'm with tmobile and got my phone in 5 business days and ordered after her...
