Yes I have an estimate shipping time and preparing to ship, within an hour of placing the order and a verification of the time a week later. Nothing has changed in the last two weeks since then.

What device did you order?

When I called it said my item was backordered - in the last 30 minutes that has been removed and it says that my order is being processed and gives me the shipping dates.
 
GF still waiting on an iPhone 6 16gb silver. It's been 2 weeks she's had the preparing to ship status for about a week then it changed to backordered. Reps are clueless and it's getting ridiculous.

Att can't offer any credit or anything for this absurd wait.
But tmobile and Verizon are giving credits, apologizing and seem to be trying to get the customer answers.

I refuse to check the 877# anymore. It's too depressing to hear "backorder".

I will just patiently wait for the AT&T shipping email - yeah right!

I was doing the same thing didn't call for like a week. And figured I would call since it was the last day of my shipping window.

I've noticed that too - T-Mobile seems to be following up with their customers a lot and many have been offered credits of 60 plus. Even more of a bummer.

I'm a tmobile customer so I was on the tmobile thread a lot. I got my 6 in 5 business days and was told the 7-10 day wait. I've seen a ton of people get credits of $150+ towards their next bill and partial refunds of their down payment towards the phone. But most of those people were 6+ orders. There were barely any complaints on wait time for a 6.

Like I said att really dropped the ball on regular 6 wait times. It's ridiculous.

My Status showed "ready to ship" since I ordered back on 9/12. It now shows "backordered", you would THINK that ATT would have said "backordered" FIRST and then "ready to ship", but then again this is ATT we're talking about here.........so don't get to exited yet.:(

By all means, be excited that you are going to (eventually) get the phone you wanted.

Do not, however, be excited about a preparing to ship status.

When you get an email with a tracking number, that is the time you should break out the dance moves, scream, shout, and squee like an otaku.
 
iPhone 6 Plus, 128 GB, Space Gray, ordered 9/12 at 8:05 AM EDT.

Verizon wants to keep its customers. It has compensated some with bill credits and service upgrades for this delay. We are a month after release date and we don't have our iPhones. This isn't how you treat loyal customers. At least not if you want to keep them. "It takes months to find a customer, seconds to lose one."

I'm a Verizon customer who ordered the exact same phone as you on the same day (but a few hours later) and my shipping date is 10/24. No news since then.

Believe me, Verizon are no better!

- Ordered a 64Gb Space Grey 6 and 6 Plus in a corporate owned AT&T brick and mortar store on 9/30/14, Online order status stated 10/30/14 - 11/18/14 ship date

- Item Processing/awaiting shipping 9/30/14 - 10/10/14

-Recieved "Item has shipped" email with tracking number for both on 10/11/14. Both of them had the same tracking number. USPS expected delivery date 10/14/14. (along with my screen protectors and cases same day) Signed up for txt service to follow progress

end of story. I do hope everybody who ordered before me gets their phones. If you have not, i would raise hell, even maybe contacting your local news agency and see if they can get some answers. I don't understand it myself. But i am still slightly upset that others have not gotten their phones, but i have. Just the kind of person i am i guess. heh
 
I ordered from ATT on the same day. Did you have to raise hell to get your phones quicker?

T-Mo thread has died down a lot so I'm lurking. I moved to T-Mobile last month from AT&T. So far, I've gotten a free (kick ass) router and three months credit on my bill. These guys are bending over backwards for their customers. My ERT (executive response team) rep calls me every 72 hours with a status update and is committed to doing so until the phone is in my hands.

1. Order on Friday evening 10/10
2. Received TC email
3. Checked status on Sunday & Monday - automated message saying there is a delay in processing your order, at&t will be contacting you soon
4. 10/13 Received email that I accepted paperless billing
5. 10/13 Received email that reads Great news! Your order is in the process of being fulfilled. 10/22 - 10/31 shipping dates.

More proof that first come, first served is a lie. I preordered mine online 9/12 at 6:00AM CDT. Still on backorder.

Same here. My delivery dates were 10/2-10/13. Checked this morning and lo, and behold, status changed to "Backordered" from "Preparing to Ship".

What a load of crap.

That's amazing. Personally, this is why I am annoyed and frustrated with this whole thing. att while not necessarily the cause of all this is certainly doing nothing to mitigate it or even communicate to people what is going on. Anytime you talk to a csr you get different info and basically no one knows what's going on. It speaks volumes to their customer service and honestly if I ever had an actual problem (not just a long wait) I worry how they would resolve it. I have been looking at Verizon for a family plan for my fiancé and I and I think it'll be time to switch over when our contracts are up.

No and I haven't actually noticed anyone getting credited.
Maybe it's only if it significantly overshoots the date quoted when you ordered.
My date is 10/24 for my 9/12 order.

One or two people on the Verizon thread are past their dates now. Perhaps they got a credit.
(We have a google spreadsheet going on our Verizon thread so we can better see our delivery patterns.)

Seriously look at T-Mo. Unlimited everything (no throttling of speeds for data either) for $140 for hubby and I. Also includes unlimited data roaming & texting in 120 countries.
 
Got my tracking information, should have my phone tomorrow (finally)

Space Gray 6+ 64GB
Space Gray 6+ 16GB

Both ordered through the business channel on 9/12 and had shown 11/9-11/27 until they were marked shipped.

The 16gb changed on Sunday, the 64gb today.
