Congrats! Enjoy it and start having fun!!! I had the chance to hold the 6+ yesterday when I swung by the Apple store to get my Macbook pro looked at. The 6+ is truly a beautiful device and the SG you have is very nice! I opted for the Silver because I love the white front, and decided that if I am going to upgrade from my prehistoric 4s (yes, I still have the 4s -- sadly), then I am going BIG. :) I don't know what I will do with myself when the 6+ arrives....I might lock myself in the closet and not come out for a few days.....

That is great news! I wonder how many phones can fit in one plane?

Thats what i wonder. how many do they carry

THERE IS HOPE MY FRIENDS!!! i ordered a 6 and 6 Plus, 64Gb space grey in an actually AT&T store on 10/30/14, order processed for 5 days, then went to awaiting shipping. Had an expected ship date of 10/30/14 - 11/18/14. Just got an email and order page says the same, it "shipped" with tracking numbers at 1 am on the 11th of october. got the email at 1am. :D everybody hang in there. With that being said, anybody and everybody who ordered before me, raise hell. You have every right to. i haven't checked up on this thread today. ill let you know what else transpires.

Wow, that's great for you, unfortunately it just pisses myself and others off.

Ordered 9/12 through the business channel, still in the 11/7-11/27 delivery window for the same *expletive* phone

Well, they must not be selling as many 128 GBs. I ordered a 6 128 GB grey yesterday at AT&T and was told 2-3 week wait (I think the confirmation email said end of October shipping estimate).

Well, a few hours after the confirmation email I got an email telling me it has shipped and giving me a tracking number (I didn't fully believe it til the tracking number actually worked).

Heh, and I also caught the AT&T rep trying to tell me I couldn't have my unlimited plan anymore unless I paid outright for the phone. He backtracked when he tried to show me it wouldn't work and it did that it worked cause we were under a fan account (after I found on the AT&T forum a question asking the same thing and reps answering that you can keep your unlimited and get a subsidized upgrade). I let him try to claim it was that, no need to get in an argument and him motivated to try to sneakily get back at me when I was getting what I wanted.

Wow, shipped already? Lucky!

How can I tell whether the planes coming have either 6's or 6+'s? I ordered mine, AT&T Silver 64GB 6+, on 9-26 with an estimated ship date of 11/5-11/14. Not real worried right now but just curious how I or anyone else can tell what the planes are carrying.

Won't know till they start shipping out unfortunately.

Ordered 64gb SG 6 in store on 10/1. First estimated ship date was 10/8-10/10 then was pushed out 10/30-11/15 (or something similar) Checked last night and shows phone shipping on 10/11 and recieved tracking.

why would the att rep to lie like that? was he trying to get u to switch to non unlimited plan?

Well my guess is he's getting pressure to get people to switch off their unlimited plan because AT&T wants people off (they've been outspoken in how they wish they never offered it). And AT&T has been notorious that they won't bring it back even if the reason you lost it was their fault (they'll take any way of getting you off short of actually changing policy officially). And I guess AT&T is not willing to piss off customers by not grandfathering them like Verizon is but is willing to try to be pushy about it. I doubt they told him to lie (but his manager might of who will be getting pressure from above) but unless he gets a customer that gets so pissed they manage to make a stink about it and get news on it they will just turn a blind eye, especially if his tactics work. I would not doubt they have metrics telling him how much percentage of customers they expect him to get on their new plans (I bet they really push the next plans cause that seems their focus) and managers on his back if he is not meeting expectations. I don't envy him his job really and I feel stuff like that is more the fault of the atmosphere his company fosters of pushing their reps to meet metrics at whatever cost (but throwing them under the bus if it bites AT&T in the butt).

Is this a guarantee by AT&T

How have them been with fulfilling statements like this?

Well, that's the exact one I ordered on Friday and they gave me that shipping estimate (actually worse estimate than that, 10-19 days) and then sent me a confirmation of it being shipped a few hours later. So, could be sooner ;).

Disclaimer: This is no gaurentee and I don't work for AT&T and maybe I just got lucky and some one cancelled their order and I managed to be there at the right time to get it.

I ordered on Friday - I didn't get a shipping e-mail yet. Hopefully soon.

I spoke to att retentions and they can upgrade/override my eligibility and i can order from them today.

But the wait times here seem ridiculous. This is what the rep told me today.

All iphone 6+ 64gb 28-35 days.

Iphone 6 sg 64gb -21-35
Iphone6 64gb Silver and gold 14-21

Iphone 6 128gb Silver gold 3-5
Iphone 6 128gb so 7-14

I called into the automated order status information line and the message said sorry there is a delay in processing your order - at&t will be contacting you shortly?

Is this because the iPhones are on backorder for 7-14 days or should I be worried?

I spoke to someone and they said on their end it appears that my order was successfully completed.

Thoughts.

That's straight from their website. Some people have been getting it earlier and some not. Mine had a 14-21 business days right from the day I ordered it 9/23 and hasn't changed.

This.
I want to be happy for others that are getting their phones so quickly, but I can't knowing I ordered so much earlier than they did.

I know it's a first world problem, but I want my phone in the order I ordered it!!

istocknow is the real deal

Hello, long time lurker, but wanted to briefly share my experience. This is a terrific and helpful forum. If it can be of any help to anyone...then I feel like it's my way to pay things back a bit.

I had been extremely frustrated by the long wait times inherent with the preorder/order process (tried ordering from both AT&T and Apple). Had seen several references to success using istocknow email alerts, but for whatever reason didn't really give much credence to them.

After continued frustration (and lack of patience, frankly) I figured I didn't have much to lose. I live in North Florida and set up the alerts on a 6+ for anywhere in the Jacksonville/Orlando area. Within two nights of staying up to check for the 2am-ish notifications, I had purchased a 6+ SG 64g for in-store pickup at the Jacksonville Apple store.

My long wait was over with surprisingly little effort once I had started down the istocknow path.

Again, this is my first post after years of lurking, and I did so for the sole reason of thanking those that had posted info about this option and to encourage others who may be tired of waiting. It truly is the real deal!

I placed an order at the AT&T store on 10/10 for a 6 64gb silver and just checked my order status and it's already at "preparing to ship" with a date of 10/30 to 11/10. What does that mean? Does it really just stay in that status for 3-4 weeks? Or do I have hope of really receiving it way earlier than that?

I have been following this thread since it started. I recently switched from Tmobile to ATT. I ordered two 6+'s and had a delivery date of 11/07-11/27. Our original order had issues (so they claim) and had to be "re-processed" and our order date then changed to 9/18, with the same shipping window.

I followed the advice of others from this thread..... CANCEL YOUR ORDER WITH ATT !!!!!! I was able to purchase the two 6+'s from Apple store AND order a 6 from another Apple store AND today I walked into my local Target and purchased another 6 with no problems. My local Target had plenty of 6's and several +'s.

It really is easy if you live near an Apple store. They receive shipments daily and usually have the walk-in inventory available between 10AM and 3PM (Your mileage may vary depending on your local Apple Store). The reserve inventory is held until late night when they will update the available inventory.

I walked into my local Apple store at 11AM and waited for them to process the shipment. I had already spoke with them and told them exactly which 6+'s I wanted and by 2PM, I had the exact iPhones I wanted.

PLEASE NOTE: In my experience, Apple store inventory can change at ANY time during the day. Also, the reserve inventory can and will change during the night. Don't be fooled if you see no inventory when you first check, keep checking during the overnight. Don't depend on any outside inventory trackers, if you live in an area with few Apple stores, that reserve will be gone before you can blink.

You don't need to order from ATT. If you need to add a line and want to order online from Apple (using NEXT)...its very simple. Go to an ATT store and add a line with or without an actual phone. You can immediately upgrade that line using the Apple store and you can use NEXT for your upgrade.:D:D:D

The At&t reps aren't lying about the shipment times. The dates they provide are the dates the website shows. If you happen to get your device early, consider yourself lucky! The 6+ has ridiculous long wait times, but the 6 isn't near as bad.
