Yep I've read of that happening and didn't put too much thought into it...until it happened to me this evening.
Have the people past this stage figure out what happens next?
If your hold on the money has dropped, I think you guys are farther out then most...But I could be wrong, hope I am...
That would be good news...I believe I managed to order within the first 30 min of the official preorder time on Friday.
I had finished my order at 255a ET,and yet,no shipping number. 9/17-18 ship date.
There is no rhyme or reason to their shipping, so that spreadsheet is a waste of time.

"Preparing for shipment" is the status your order is currently in.
Your tracking number will be available to you, "pending shipment," ie, when it's actually ready to ship.
Because its an exercise in futility.There is no rhyme or reason to AT&T shipping.

Nothing showing for me on UPS MyChoice (& I've been a user for almost a year, so I'm used to looking ahead to see what's coming my way).

That is why i didn't pre-ordered this time. ATT always Screw things up. I have had iPhone since the 3G and pre-ordered every year since the iPhone 4 but im going to the ATT store on friday before they open to get one. Btw hope everyone get their hands on that beauty on friday.
My package is in movement from Tennessee and will be here Friday Ups next day air. It'll be here tomorrow I'm guessing but will be held at the facility till Friday, maybe I'll get lucky and receive it early.
Me too, and the hold on my money is still there. Called bank to see how long someone can hold money, they told me 30 days, but it is Paypal and not a regular bank. Even if it does get released I will camp out front ATT on Friday and get one in my hand..
My wife's iPhone 6 gold 64gb says ships 9/17-9/18 for the 9/19 arrival.
I checked UPS My Choice and nothing shows up how are you guys getting yours to show.

Looks to me that most people who have tracking numbers are on the East Coast with deliveries coming out of Memphis, TN.
Could it be that those of us who pre-ordered early (2:44am EST on 9/12 for me) but don't see anything yet with either UPS or Fedex (just 'preparing to ship' on AT&T) are just in a different part of the country? I'm in CO, what about others still in the dark?
I don't think it means that we won't get deliveries on 9/19, I'm just saying it might explain why some people have tracking infos and others don't.

Ive had the same ship date of 10/13-10/31since i first pre ordered the iphone 16 gb spce grey on the 13th..ill be furious if i actually get it that late..
My preorder will be cancelled long before I wait until Halloween for the phone. The estimate (10/13 - 10/31) hasn't budged as yet. And while the 866 line says it's shipped, I doubt that since the payment is still pending on my card.
You want a crappy ship date try mine. Order placed 4:15am after batteling issues on both AT&T and Apple sites. Order is for the 6+ 128GB Space Grey.

First time posting but I've read through all previous posts. In same boat as everyone else who ordered a plus. Specifically I ordered a 128GB Space Gray 6+. Received order confirmation by 2:13 CST just 13 minutes after launch. The only reason I waited that long is because I wanted to see if the Apple site would come back up. Received confirmation email at 3:30. Promised 14-21 days. Once status was available I got the 10/31-11/14 shipping estimate. On Saturday was bumped to 10/13-10/22. Am waiting like everyone else for a second bump. I did speak to a rep today. The only info she had was that the current shipping is 38-45 business days or whatever your estimate says. I asked if the time in the confirmation email would be honored, she did not know. No help at all in that regard.

In unrelated news, but due to the height of the inconvenience. If you're placing an order through premier, don't use safari. I was trying to order my mom a 5c and since her line is the primary had to go through premier. I'd been chatting with reps since 2pm trying to discuss rate plans and options and make sure I wasn't making any changes to our current plan as much of the process was unclear. Finally was about to checkout at 7pm and the checkout button was gray. Chatted a rep again he said you can't use safari. Apparently they're having issues. Well that would've been nice to know hours sooner. :-/ Strange I can't order an Apple product on Apple's browser. :-| Anyhow, I know it's nothing specific to do with iphone 6 but just sharing in case anyone else is having an issue because I wish I had known.

Mine is showing the exact same thing. I really hope this "preparing to ship" status means it's being fulfilled. Or else it's extremely misleading and I will be furious since my first preorder for the plus went through at 11:59 pm thursday night and it got cancelled by a stupid error.

Even though I pre-ordered at 0545 in the morning on the first day, my expected shipping date is between 11/09/14 - 11/27/14!
I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus online from AT&T because I wanted to keep my current plan. I am grandfathered-in to keep my unlimited plan; FamilyTalk Nation, plus unlimited data; $39.89 month.
BTW, I went in to my local AT&T store the day before the pre-order day to find out if I was going to be able to keep my current plan, and also ask if they were expecting to have many iPhones in-store on Sept. 19th, and the sales person wasnt even aware the iPhone 6s had been announced
In store reps near me very incompetent. I went in to get my mom a 5c, which are now free. He knew nothing about it. Smh.
After I placed my order with AT&T, I was not able to order from the Apple Store. How did you pull that off?
I wonder if I changed my order on AT&T and those are the actual dates, my order would come faster. Silver and Gold 64gbs 4.7 inches say 7-14 days , whereas my current order says middle of october till the end (when I called it said backordered). Hmmph. I do think the silver looks much better this time around.
