Well, that's encouraging. That's pretty much the first 6+ 9/19 verification I've seen on here.
Most folks who've shared past iphone pre-order experiences, indicated they ended up getting their phones on launch date after all. So, what part sucks, the not knowing or actual ship dates?
Getting kinda pissed
I ordered my iPhone 6 64 gb space grey through premier at 9:09 am pst. I got my notification immediately and I had 3 $1 charges taken out and the $299 for the phone. For the last day in a half I have showed preparing to ship with a 10/13 to 10/31. When I called it said back ordered and now the charges all disappeared from card. This is crap if it's not gonna be here on launch day. Apple site was still showing 19th delivery well into the evening for the iPhone 6. Damn att. Wish I could have ordered through apple ( work had to order it for me via premier)

Sorry, but if you order 9 hours after preorders begin, you really can't have any expectations.

Mine says backordered too, ordered with premiere, same exact scenario/dates/etc. However, I ordered with next. I'll have to see if charges are dropped. they get readded when it ships. To the guy above, premiere is just connected through your employer for plan discounts. We are paying for the phones just like everyone else. called it says backordered, att chat rep says its being sent to the warehouse first and when it ships out from there it should hit the card. So it could either not update at all/hit the USA then it'll appear, or you may see the same status until Launch.
It's happened for a lot of people where there status didn't change on att.com and it arrived at their door. I would've preferred not to order from att, but it was my only option as I am trading in my phone.

I am paying for the phone just not my service and I'm pissed because Apple had tons of iphone 6s and they were delivering sept 19th until like 8 pm if I remeber right but I order 9 hours after it opened on att and its showing almost a month from now to receive my phone. Extremely frustrating. I didn't have the account info so I couldn't be up at 3am like I wanted to order it myself
That's exactly what it means.. Apple, to prevent leaking their new item before launch date, doesn't ship to the carrier stores until a couple days before launch. "Preparing for shipment" simply means they haven't any stock to allocate to shipment.
when does tracking number show?
My phone is being delivered to my dad's work [so someone can sign for it] so I can't check MyUPS to see if it's scheduled. But my order status on ATT.com doesn't show a tracking number...

Yea same boat, used my choice and saw my order from apple but not from att! Chatted with att online and they said I'll still get it the 19th so fingers crossed
I ordered on Sunday and it says Preorder Processing. What are the status leves the items progress through before being shipped? I am in no hurry to get my 128GB iPhone 6 Silver model but am just curious. The order was placed through Business Premier site.
It is amazing how many here do not get this fact. Even some that have been through pre orders before......
Seems promising but man, I've learned the hard way these people either flat out lie or have no idea what they're talking about. Trying to keep my expectations very low. My 6+ currently shows 10/2 - 10/13 w/ no info on UPS site. If I get it then I'm ok with it, not much I can do, at this point I'm just hoping they don't adjust the wait times farther out!
where's the hate? The guy posted usefull information that is ignored in this thread by sheer panic......facts speak for themselves.... BTW on my second cup of java....no hate here bruh.....
No hating. It's just it's the exact same scenario every single year. People have very short memories of how preorders actually work Especially through the carrier stores who never get their shipment from Apple until a few days before launch day. Everybody's shipment dates update magically to receive launch day (or the week after) on the Wednesday or Thursday prior to launch day. It's been this way for all iPhone releases (except 3GS for which there was no pre-order) if memory serves.
But it sure makes for a lot of drama on the threads each year at this time ;-)
It is absolutely amazing to me that this thread has reached 88 pages on something none of us have any control over. We've placed our orders and now we wait that's the plain and simple of it... yet, myself included we keep coming back trying to out guess and over analyze the process. There's only 2 outcomes, we get our shiny new toy on Friday or we don't....
We know that the package will be ~1.2 lbs when it ships... we know the 6's are looking like they will definitely make it out, and it sure looks like they under estimated the 6 pluses and a few lucky will get them and most will have to wait.
oh well, off to hit the refresh button on att.com, ups.com and macrumors.com to try to quell my anxiety

I used to follow the band Phish and this is the exact type of hysteria you would see from people in threads when their tickets would be made available through a lottery. People wonding about holds on their credit cards and what not. Kinda funny.
