I doubt premier orders get shipped from a different stash. reason being is after a little while you can view your order status on either the premier site or reg att website.

AT&T Premier status Order thread

I ordered a 32GB iPhone 4 from the Premier site on 7/22 (a day before the white iPhone was officially delayed) and I am still on Backorder.
One of my friends ordered a 3GS 32GB from the Premier site on 7/11 and is still backordered as well! Really makes you wonder what the hell is going on over there at AT&T HQ?

I ordered a 32GB on 7/24 from a physical at&t store. I've had terrific result ordering from this store on the pre-order date. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes and got my phone from them on June 24th, launch date.
so, it made sense to place my wife's order with this store as well.
when placing the order, they claimed that ppl are receiving their phones in 7-10 days.
we shall see.
as of right now, the order status shows 'backordered'
I'm a premier customer.but i'm not sure if that makes any difference (it shouldn't, except waiving the $18 upgrade fee).
I think i'm going to stop checking the phone status starting tomorrow and just wait for that 'magic' email to arrive stating my phone has been delivered to the store.
fyi....ever since I placed the order, I've yet to receive an order placement email from AT&T......strange.

Apparently it does matter. In the regular AT&T order status thread, people who ordered theirs non-premier on 7/23 are off of backorder today and have scheduled delivery dates of Thursday.
I am seeing quite a large group of people who say they ordered (non premier) on the 23rd and they are already shipping. I ordered the 22nd (Premier) and still backordered.
Exactly. I called Premier to lodge a complaint *nicely, of course* and was given the same tired answer about them being different sales channels. *Sigh* Stupid FAN account...
ugh! How does "different sales channels" = massive difference in shipping times/inventory?
My friend who has had a 3GS (32GB) on backorder since 7/11 just called and was blown off and said that the order was processed and that's all he could see.
I think it's crap. Since our orders are visible to us using the regular (non-premier) order status page, shouldn't they all come from the same fulfillment center(s) as the non-premier orders? She also fed me some line about "first come, first served" which it's clearly not.

You might want to check again. I ordered Premier web on 7/22, came off backorder sometime today (7/27)
Still waiting on shipping info but pretty happy with the 5 day turnaround so far.
Interesting that you ordered in-store on 7/24 and came off backorder; I ordered via Premiere website on 7/23 and still show as backordered (32GB).
We'll see what today brings, it'd be really nice if it could ship today.
I'm in the same boat. 32 ordered via the website on 7/23 and still back ordered as of right now.
AT&T Premier has all the same plans as the regular ones. Premier just means you log into an AT&T page built for your job/business that has discounts on things. So the prices are adjusted. Even though it's a company discount, it's for personal use. So all the same individual and family plans are there. They are just cheaper.
