Assuming you ordered a 16g...

If you did then I am curious what the regular att site has as your order date. I ordered on the 19th from premier - still on BO Regular site says 21

It would be nice if Apple had the supply problem under control by the time the 23rd of August rolled around so I don't have to worry about trying to time an order.

If I order too soon then I'm going to be stuck paying for a full month of Sprint AND whatever my first AT&T bill is. If I order too late then I have to go without a phone for a little bit (no big deal) and possibly lose my phone number...

Switching carriers is such a PITA.

got my shipping info today, so within 24hrs of it coming off backorder

order 7/23, shipping notification 8/1, so i'm happy!

no idea of arrival date yet. the e-mail from at&t said that due to unprecedented volume, FedEx may not have detailed shipping info for up to 72 hours.

Can you cancel with premier while it's on backorder? My local apple store has some in stock and im considering cancelling and just picking one up from there. I ordered a 16gb on 7/20 and it's stil on backorder

Nah - you will have your bill pro-rated.

Sprint refuses to pro-rate the final bill. They keep pointing to the text in the contract that states they do not pro-rate final bills.

That's exactly what I did for my g/f's ip4. Ordered 7/22 (16gb) around noon PST from premier, and still on backorder EOD Friday 7/30. Called Apple Store on a whim and apparently they had just gotten a bunch in stock. Picked one up there around 8:30pm same day. AT&T ip4 was on backorder still all weekend. Called first thing Monday AM (8/2) and cancelled it, no problems (it was still on backorder at the time).

Apparently it would have shipped and I would have had to return it or get charged for it if I hadn't called before it got off of backorder. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have canceled and wound up with two ip4's at discounted prices...

Has anyone had that last situation happen?

Thanks for the info. I was about to cancel, but luckily I just discovered that it came off of backorder. Hopefully I'll get some shipping info soon (16 GB, 7/20)

7/29 Order, Partial Shipment

I ordered a 16GB and 32GB iPhone from Premier on 7/29. I just got my shipping info for the 32GB today, but my 16GB is still backordered.

I'm a new AT&T customer and got a family plan for three phones. Since I'm going to get 2 of 3 phones on Thursday, does that mean they will pro-rate the extra line and data plan based on when they ship the 16GB (and it is activated)?

I ordered a 16gb on 7/25 ... still back-ordered, of course. I could have picked one up at Best Buy yesterday but decided not to go through the will they/won't they cancel thing.

ok, dumb question. I applied for a Premier account on AT&T's website and was approved through my university. I will be going away for a weeks vacation starting the 20th of August, which would put me at about the point most of you are receiving your phones. Can i go into a AT&T or Apple store and walk in and purchase a phone with the Premier discounts or only online?
