AT&T Premier status Order thread

Just came off backorder! (About 1:30 pm.) No shipping info yet, but I ordered a 32 on 23 July at about 9 AM.
 
Off Backorder!!!!!!!!

My 16gb came off of BO today around noon. I ordered on July 17th from Premier. Hope to have tracking data sometime tonight. Just glad it'll be here before the weekend.

so is there a good chance that if an order comes off of a backorder, then it is pretty much ready to ship and you get a tracking # within 24 hrs?
what's been the past performance for such an event?

From what I've read that seems to be the pattern. There is at least one person, either in this thread or the other order status thread, that's been in limbo for over 24 hours waiting for shipping info. But most every other post I've read, the person has had tracking info by that evening.

Mine went off backorder yesterday morning, but still no shipping info. There's another guy who's gone a week in limbo.
 
I just got my shipping info. It's showing scheduled delivery for Friday at 4:30 pm.
32 GB - Premier (online)
Ordered: 23 July @ approximately 9 AM
Off Back Order: 28 July @ 1:30 pm
Shipping Info: 28 July @ 3:45 pm
Scheduled Delivery: 30 July 4:30 pm

Hi - I ordered on the 19th too...funny though the regular att site says the 21st...

Still shows backorder

I'm off the backorder since yesterday and got tracking # as well.
will arrive at a store tomorrow


To sum up...

7/24 order
32GB
order placed at a physical upstate NY store

This is so awesome!
but now, racing to get a cover and screen protector for it.
 
since i started this thread, i thought i'd complete my follow-up:

ordered July 19, 9am PDT
off back order July 27, 1-8am PDT
received July 29*

i hope this thread continues to be useful to all the premier customers and of course, ultimately not useful once the backorders get cleared and supply matches demand for this phone.



* long story: AT&T screwed up my shipping address by dropping important pieces of information which meant that they could not deliver it and i had ultimately go down to the Fedex shipping center to retrieve it because the customer/recipient cannot add/change the address information. (this occurred after two phone calls of misinformation with Fedex folks who told me that the info could be added and i would see a delivery in a few hours -- but the exception never got removed and persistence on my part produced the truth of the matter...
 
My story:

Ordered 32GB version around 4pm on 7/23.
Still on backorder at 7pm 7/29 when cancelled my order over the phone. Apple store here had stock and I bought a 32GB as a walk-in with no reservation/priority/whatever.

You didnt have an issue with upgrade eligibility?
 
It would be nice if Apple had the supply problem under control by the time the 23rd of August rolled around so I don't have to worry about trying to time an order.

If I order too soon then I'm going to be stuck paying for a full month of Sprint AND whatever my first AT&T bill is. If I order too late then I have to go without a phone for a little bit (no big deal) and possibly lose my phone number...

Switching carriers is such a PITA.

Nope, no issue at all. Bought my new phone in-store within a few minutes of cancelling my Premier order over the phone.

Since my order was on backorder apparently either my eligibility hadn't yet been changed or they reset it immediately.
 
Ordered 7/23 (after white phone further delayed)
Came off backorder sometime after noon on 7/31 (i was travelling)
Waiting for an e-mail, hope it comes soon!
 
Ordered 32gb on the afternoon of 7/31 and it came off of BO sometime today in the morning but no shipping info is available yet.
