I think that's a blanket status until it actually ships. I ordered at 4:30 AM and I am on that status and I'm a week delayed from your shipment.

AT&T Preorders, 3am EST, 21-28 Days Makes no sense

I think that's a blanket status until it actually ships. I ordered at 4:30 AM and I am on that status and I'm a week delayed from your shipment.
You ordered about 20 minutes after they started to go on sale. If you really wanted the phone, you would have been trying to order 5 minutes before 3am.

Wrong. Carrier sites started selling 5 minutes prior to midnight Apple time. I've never had an easier experience pre-ordering an iPhone. Apple's site didn't get up and running until hours after planned.
you're most likely not able to order than cancel from my past experience. you would have to cancel, wait for it to go through and hope for the best there is stock in store, or else it would show you're not eligible for the 2 yr pricing.
I was never able to get a 6+ available through the Apple Store app so I finally went to AT&T. Got the vague confirmation and finally had an actual order confirmation in my email when I woke up. Email says 21-28 days. But when I check the status of my order, it says 10/31-11/11. Really? This whole thing was a complete clusterf***.

Ordered mine at 4:30am est for the iPhone 6+ 64gb. I check my order just now and it says status pending and shipping date pending, yet my credit card has been charged the 430.00 for the phone. You know if that means it's gonna be shipping soon?

Answering my own question by reading the email:
"***For preorders, charges will be processed on date of shipping and will include actual, applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges, which may vary from the quoted estimate."
Since there is a charge for the full amount of taxes on my AMEX in addition to the $1 precharge, I'm going to hold out hope that this charge doesn't disappear and that ordering at 2 minutes after midnight (!) from AT&T didn't screw me.

I called the orders 877 number. The order numbers didn't match and I think i double ordered one of the phones, but one of my orders was canceled, but the other two appear to be all set for the 19th.
That's what was happening to me when I got through on the att website. I then picked up my ipad and after 20+ min, got my order through with a delivery on the 19th.
I ordered a ip6 64gb @ 435 ET I got an immediate email and I have a 19th date.

For those who cancel a pre order, it takes about 2 hours for it to cycle through so you are eligible again for your upgrade status. Just an FYI
I got the same thing from AT&T when I tried preordering at about 2:55 ET. so I decided to go with Apple. I ended up finally getting through on the iPad app just over an hour later.
I placed my order at LEAST five minutes before 12 PST through AT&T. I think it was actually about 8 minutes prior to the "official" pre-order time. My order confirmation states that the device (6+/128GB/Gold) will be shipped to me between October 31st and November 11. That's means it will ship in 49 to 52 days!!
So getting in early isn't the key, unless things update to bring the date closer. I just have a feeling that the 6 plus 128's are in extremely short supply. I'm going to venture to say that the casual walk in may be waiting until the first of the year to reliably pick one of these up. Meanwhile the iPhone 6 will be easy to get. Just my thought on that right now. Maybe I'm wrong.
I ordered a 6+ 128GB SG around 3:45am PST. At that time both the Apple store and ATT Premier were showing 21-28 days. I just checked my order status and I'm showing the 10/31/14 - 11/11/14 estimated ship range. Sure hope that changes to be sooner.
I think everyone needs to watch their shipping dates.
I was already charged for my phone which makes no sense if they aren't shipping for 4 weeks,
ordered at 2:50 am (eastern) 6+ 64gb silver. Got 2 emails from att already. My card was already charged. When I placed order it automatically said 7-14 days. Shows October dates for delivery. I'm betting the phone will show up way before that.
