AT&T opened pre-orders just after 2:30 AM for whatever reason, so you were 30 minutes behind the initial rush, so stands to reason some models could have longer delivery times.

Apple has more stock in their channels than anyone, which is why ordering from them may yield a more advantageous delivery time -- that, and the Apple store site was unavailable during most of the pre-order rush, unless you used the Apple Store app.

The pre-order process this year was probably the worst yet.

Yeah, this was the most disorganized I can remember. Too many different models, carriers, plans, colors, and sizes. The Iphone 4 was just 16GB or 32GB, and any color you wanted as long as it was black. The good old days.

i got in at 2:03am, ct... i placed my order for a Ip6 + 64gig Silver....i got 1 email saying i was charged $1, when i woke up i had 2 emails.. 1 stating that i was charged the rest of my purchase price, and this :

Your Apple iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Silver) has been reserved and will ship within 14 - 21 business days.

putting me out 10-13- 10-22 range, i hope that changes

Is anyone who did the "Next" upgrade with AT&T only seeing their monthly Next payment along w/ their Data payment under the Monthly Charge sections on AT&T's confirmation email?

I figured they would add the Voice & Text portion in there too.

I had some questions about the preorder process as well as my bill. Honestly, it's not even worth mentioning at the time, as AT&T customer service is backed up and the store won't help you.

I'm annoyed, but grateful my ship date is Wednesday or Thursday next week.

I checked the status and now my order says "Preorder Processing
Expected Ship Date: 10/31/2014 To 11/11/2014". Should I be expecting it a bit sooner?

I got an email cconfirmation saying "AT&T: Thank you for your order" for all 3 lines that I upgraded. When checking the order status of two of them by wireless number, it says:

64GB Space Gray 6: Preparing to ship Expected 9/17 - 9/18
64GB Gold 6: Preparing to ship Expected 9/23 - 10/1
64GB Silver 6: Order can't be found

iPhone 6 Plus 16GB Space Gray - ordered at 1:59am CST, email confirmation at 2:05am CST - 14-21 days

Seems strange being one minute before official pre-order launch that I still didn't make the cut. Has anyone seen someone get the 19th for any AT&T 6+ Pre-order?

I just have a feeling that the 6 plus 128's are in extremely short supply. I'm going to venture to say that the casual walk in may be waiting until the first of the year to reliably pick one of these up. Meanwhile the iPhone 6 will be easy to get. Just my thought on that right now. Maybe I'm wrong.

Agreed. I ordered a 128 6+ and have 10/31-11/11 ship date through AT&T's website. Couldn't get them to show as available on the apple store app at all. Got my husband's 64 6(minus as he's calling it) ordered as soon as the apple store app came up. No issues at all.

I was hanging out here at like 1:30 and my order went through around 1:45ish? I went the back door route and checked my upgrade eligibility and it let me in to the preordering page.

Guess I was the unlucky one, order at 12:07
Apple iPhone 6 Plus - 64GB Preparing to Ship We're preparing to ship your item, and it will be sent to you on or between the shipping dates we've provided. 11/09/14 - 11/27/14* 1
WTF.

For whatever reason I got an error message from Apple last night when I was finally able to log in. Apparently you can't order using AT&T NEXT online through Apple if "you primarily live in New York".

Wish that had been explained to me before I woke up @ 3:00am EST and spent a hour trying to log in.

Anyway, got up this morning (~8:30am EST)and tried the AT&T site on a lark. Went through.

Confirmation says "Your Apple iPhone 6 (64GB Silver) has been reserved and is expected to arrive on or around 9/19/2014."

I'm cautiously optimistic, but this is AT&T we are talking about.

My email says this then when i "track" it it tells me around 9/23 to 10/2

I got the same dates, and I put my order in at like 9am EST

Ordered before 3AM EST, as soon as ATT site went live with orders, even got my confirmation email at 3:01AM in my inbox. Confirmation said 14-21 business days, order status shows Oct. 13-22 as shipping range, which is outside of the confirmation, and even the confirmation range is ridiculous to begin with. Not happy!

Same here. Frustrating that after doing this for more than a half-dozen launches AT&T still can't get their act together.

last night this what I got from email
Apple iPhone 6 Plus - 64GB - Space Gray
With 2-year contract
Pre-order
Your Apple iPhone 6 Plus – 64GB – Space Gray will ship in 14-21 business days
today I check push back to November.

ATT may have let people see earlier ship times online, then reverted back to longer ship times in emails and other communications AFTER you have made the transaction.

I say this because you can not cancel your online orders on the internet and have to refuse shipment or 'return to sender'.

Kind of scummy on their part to be unable to cancel orders.

Probably because they're dependent on Apple. Limited stock and high demand has pushed back delivery dates of the 6+ everywhere. I reckon Apple's gonna keep as much of the iPhones being manufactured to fulfill their own pre-orders. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not getting new stock allocations from Apple as quickly as they expected. Another thing, keep in mind they're quoting business days. 14 business days actually means 3 weeks, not two and 21 business days is over a month.

That said, AT&T should allow you to cancel all orders that haven't entered the shipping stage yet.

Just received a text from AT&T saying "Congratulations, we have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment"

I hope this is good news because I was on the list of folks that weren't expected to ship until 10/1 - 10/13.

For those who cancel a pre order, it takes about 2 hours for it to cycle through so you are eligible again for your upgrade status. Just an FYI

Do you mind saying how you were able to cancel your order? Are you a business customer? I'm not a business customer and my status page says the order can't be canceled just returned after you receive it.

If anyone has been able to cancel their pre-order, how did you do it? Thx.

Everybody keep canceling your orders, so I can get mine sooner! ;) :D

Especially if you (A). Said the 5.5" didn't exist, and DEFININATLY if you (B). Said you think a 5.5" phone will look stupid, never fit in you pocket and you'll never be able to text on it!

They still sell the 4" and I'll bet you can get that in a day or two!! :D

I followed the link in the email from my initial confirmation.

When did you place order?

3:12 EDT. I'm not getting too excited because when I check my order status I am still seeing the same information which says shipping between 10/2-10/13
