AT&T Says iPhone 4 to Be Initially Available Only in Black?

How is this AT&T's fault again? If they don't have it, it's a supply issue, which ultimately is nobody's fault but Apple. It's like when the wifi failed in the keynote and people started cussing AT&T.

I just called 5 different AT&T corporate stores in Michigan and a couple in other states. They all stated the white iPhone would be available on June 24th.

Take this crap off the front page and do some research.

The infamous "later this summer". Start the debates as to what months/weeks/days constitute summer when AT&T releases later than initially thought.

No biggie though. if you want a white phone, go elsewhere.

Apple produces the iPhone, how is this AT&T's fault? I'm pretty sure Apple is pulling the strings on this one.

I call shenanigans! Mainly since that's the one I was going to get! I don't think that Apple would hype two colors and not differentiate between the two launch dates of the two colors. I'm hoping this isn't true, but if it is, I guess I am stuck with the black one.

From those Vodafone (UK) tariffs leaked it looks like they intend to have white iPhone 4 for pre order tomorrow.

I think it is credible that if there were some last minute production hold ups that Apple decided to limit the white iPhone to certain channels or territories.

why are u on this forum if you trust the monkeys in the AT&T store? Historically they haven't been the most reliable when it comes to being "in the know" whereas macrumors and modmyI have done a pretty good job with accuracy.

Dang! You beat me to the shenanigans! I think this is a load of bull puckey, why would they even bother to show off the white one at WWDC if it weren't going to be immediately available. Besides, if they don't manage to have both colors in both hd sizes available, there's going to be a lot of pissed off people if the white/black discussion threads are anything to go by.

I, for one, have had my 2g since a few months after the initial launch (when the price went down) and could wait a few more months for my phone if that's what it took for me to get the phone I want. I intend to have it for the next few years, and if I'm going to spend that much money, I'm sure not going to settle.

Seems kind of odd. I mean how hard is white to make? I can't believe it's a supply issue. I think its a lazy ATT issue. They don't want to deal w/ 4 SKUs at launch. But I don't really have a fight here since I want black.
