Uh... We do.

What bad things are the mean old carriers doing to you that you don't have a choice to refuse?

Lol!

promising coverage and after you sign a 2 year contract they do not keep their end of the contract.

all I want is that ATT is forced to deliver the coverage that they promised and that they signed a contract for. if they don't then they should be fined for every day they don't.

also when ATT licensed the frequencies that are (owned by the american people in the USA) they had the obligation of a certain amount of coverage and quality. I highly doubt they fullfill that obligation. lets threaten them to take the frequencies away and auction them off to someone who can provide coverage and quality.

They are in complete control over their iPhone. (except for JBers)

They're not. They don't have complete control over their data charges, packages, bandwidth allocation of a network, etc..

The iPhone is a phone; if you don't have control of the network then you don't have complete control over the device.

Yo Verizon, heard the news?
There's an app for that!
It's called 39 billion!!!!! Booya!!!!!

It seems like you are pretty excited about this merger, but know it won't be long until Verizon buys Sprint so then they will be about equal in size again. Verizon will sit back and see if this gains regulatory approval. If it does then I would assume they will proceed with purchasing Sprint. If this is approved it then sets a precedent and the government will pretty much be forced to approve a Verizon-Sprint deal.

I don't see how deals like this are good for the consumer. AT&T had to be broke up once... It looks like we are going to need a break-up again in the future or things are going to get pretty expensive for consumers.

When our cell towers combine! lol :D:D:D:D

At&t has 71 million plus

T mobile
T-Mobile USA is the fourth-largest wireless carrier in the U.S. market with 33.73 million customers and annual revenues of US$21.35 billion in 2010.[1]

So At&t will have 1/3 the country at over 100 million customers

I sent this tip in to MacRumors over 3 weeks ago. My father is dating the top exec of AT&T and informed me of this acquisition. MacRumors didn't want to post it since I had no proof, I guess they should have believed me!

AT&T - Now an illegal monopoly?

AT&T, the only GSM phone carrier now after buying TMobile, can AT&T be considered an illegal monopoly?

I am surprised so many people on here support this merger. The only person that benefits is AT&T. If AT&T owns 1/3 of the country they also own all of the pricing power. You WILL see your cell rates go up.

Actually once this merger happens AT&T will create a new plan that's more competitive with Verizon. From what I've been told data remains capped but now at 4gb instead of 2gb. Minute plans will be (individual) 1100, 1600 and 2100 then unlimited. Family will be 1800, 2400 and unlimited. Prices: 49$, 59$, 69$ 89$ (ind) fam: 79$, 89$, 99$. If you don't believe me no worries like I told MacRumors when they said they couldn't post I told them they'll see soon enough.

If you really are telling the truth tell her to stop charging for tethering if someone is under a cap! Double dipping is unethical.

For someone who infers he does know how businesses work you fail to take in to account T-Mob has been on the block for a while now as it is unable to make a decent profit in the U.S. being a "budget" carrier and doesn't have the cash to keep up w/ ATT or VZW's expansion.

The reality is this buy out was inevitable. Either ATT buys them whole like they did or T-Mob shutters it's U.S. ops and sells off its infrastructure and customer base to the highest bidder, likely ATT. It's six of one, half dozen of the other

When did I ever say this was a bad deal for T-Mobile?

Stop talking out of your butt.

Verizon with its larger network

Oh wow a Verizon fanboy! When this merger is completed AT&T will be the biggest company. Oh wait. Aren't you going do the "duh at least with Verizon I can make a call" crap?. How sickening.

Where did you hear this from? As I stated before, recent announcements from AT&T point to their pricing becoming higher and restrictive. They're basically saying, were going to charge you more, so get used to it now.
