I really hope this deal pops up for the Pro Max. I have a X I’d really like to get $800 for.
Same here for me on moving from the X to the Pro Max. I never really liked the size of my X after moving from a 6+. That $800 would make sure would make the move to a 12 Pro Max much more pleasant.

I think its gonna stay $700 off for mini and max like the original deal outlined

This deal is great for a single line user like myself.
I agree that it is enticing but I really want to wait for 120hz and something exciting but $400 bucks to upgrade to the newer 12 pro max sounds enticing.

Would like to note that my Xs Max is basically new, had it replaced last week for free by apple.

imo this is an exciting release ! a really exciting one..

but welcome to dissent :) haha

Just so it's clear, the promo applies to the Pro Max and Mini too. However it's a $700 credit over 30 months if you trade in an iPhone 8 or newer.

Anybody here have experience with returning a phone to AT&T for a refund? Curious what the time frame is to receive the refund.

I wish I could pick up from my Apple.

I want to do something before the deal ends and at this point, it's either shipping from Apple or shipping with AT&T.
I want to check one more AT&T store before I finally decided but if I have to ship it's going to be mid-Nov. from Apple and mid-December from AT&T.

I ordered a 128 gb pacific blue iPhone 12 on Sunday night and it is currently at 34000 feet off the coast of British Columbia en route to me here in Alaska with a scheduled delivery by 430 pm today!!

In the past it has taken anywhere between 2-8 weeks for the 2 phones we have sent in.

Pulled the plug and ordered from Apple, thanks for giving me the push. Now to find a case for my gold phone.

I feel like most people have unlimited plans now. Yes you need to have one already or get a new one.
I'd be curious to know the breakdown. AT&T is heavily promoting the unlimited plans but the cost is pretty high for two lines. I'm still on a shared 6Gb plan with two lines. I'd love to take advantage of the trade-in deal but I would pay an additional $54/month to move up to unlimited data. Over 30 months, this would exactly negate the trade-in value of my two iPhones. Plus, there would probably be no going back to a less expensive plan once the credits have been paid out.

I'm trying to decide what to do but maybe this just isn't the deal for me.

I need unlimited to use my phone as I please. I stream my music and podcasts. When I went to Italy last summer I used their passport feature and just didn't think twice about a data cap. Current monthly bill is $65 total.

I’m in the same situation. We've decided it’s going to be a No for us at this time. I’m going to upgrade and keep the plan we have now. My SO was never keen to upgrade anyway.

Just buy your phones at regular price and when you pay them off your plan will be the same and you have 2 newer phones simple.

Yea me too I like the freedom of not having to check how much data I have left. But a lot of people don’t use their phones that way. Most of the time they are on WiFi and don’t need an unlimited plan which sucks because this deal you need one.

We have a 35GB monthly cap so I don't actually worry about music streaming. The cap is generous enough that we don't need to upgrade but it would certainly be nice if I can just stream Netflix or something whenever I wanted.

I'm still debating whether that convenience is worth an extra $30-50 after tax per month ($360-600 per year) to upgrade the family plan to unlimited.

When I hand off 2 phones I’ll probably hand off 1 or 2 spare adapters. ReplaceKent phones so they will have spares.

So here in Miami...called 2 local stores by my office and no luck. All said same crap. These people are either clueless or playing dumb. Regardless just came back from UPS. Decided to just ship it directly to AT&T. Wish me luck.

They denied knowing about the promo? It's literally on their website. You should have gone to a store and showed them on their site.

Are they corporate stores or just AT&T resellers? That might be why too.

All corporate stores. Trust me I know the differences.

Well, it's on their web site (as you know), and I just spoke to AT&T on the phone to find out the cost difference to unlimited (I actually save money), and yep they are fully aware of the $800 upgrade promotion. Maybe the stores just didn't like you. Where you wearing your mask wrong? Showered?
