I seriously doubt that’s true. I can call tomorrow to make sure.
I would hate for it to not be true and people get locked into the financing and miss the deal
that's why I say a big ymmv

I'm happy as heck though with the standard deal

I went to my local AT&T store to return the 11 PM as they sold it to me for $700 and never mentioned the trade-in promo. The store could not process the trade-in as ‘all return systems were down now’. Told me to return the next morning. I did and then they told me oh sorry it’s the same story. Ended up having to mail back the phone which I absolutely did not want to do.I tried to explain her that. That young girl was nasty. I’m a 38 business owner father of 3. I just said whatever you are no help. Got up and left.
Just the phone.Sorry if this has been asked but I didn’t see it. When trading in the phone do I need to bring cables and wall plugs or is just the phone the only thing that is needed?

No. Just go to tradein.att.com. Use promo code TRADEINOFFER20 and wait for materials or just print and ship. No need to cancel or go through anything else.Confused a bit about the process. So I I paid in full for a iPhone 12 PRO on Apple, how do I go about the $800 credits? Do I need to cancel it and order thru Apple with the ATT Installments?
Base model 11PM. That’s with a 30 month contract.you got an 11 PM for $700, without payment plans contract or otherwise?
If so, that's a really good clearance deal for people that may be interested

I’d rather trade in my 8 Plus and get the 12 PM for $400 with a 30 month contract.
Really questioning if the systems were down 2 days. They had no problem selling the device but sounds like didn’t want to help with the return.I went to my local AT&T store to return the 11 PM as they sold it to me for $700 and never mentioned the trade-in promo. Dealing with AT&T employees is pretty frustrating.

Woah. $300 off the 12 is a great deal!I misinterpreted someone else’s post
I think best loyalty deal is 12 for $300 off no trade in over 30 months but even then ymmv

Definitely not $800 off over 30 months for 12 pro with no trade in
Woah. $300 off the 12 is a great deal!
I wonder if that will apply to the 12 PM/Mini as well??
I called Loyalty. There are no deals for the Mini/12 Pro Max currently. I didn't ask about the 12/12 Pro because I'm not interested in that size.even that I would take with a grain of salt / ymmv. but that's how the deal was corrected when I thought I understood differently in slick deals.
The original believed $800 off without any trade in made my jaw drop for a second haha.
I would say call loyalty dept to find out if you havent already made the plunge. Just keep in mind, may be backordered like crazy since you'll have to order through them if the deal is happening

it is awesome if you dont feel like foraging for a phone or laying out any extra cash, but if you think about it, $800 off with a trade in or $700 is still sweeter. let's say ~$200 for a trade-able 8,
$800 (for regular 12 with this deal)-$300 off deal no trade (if its a thing) is $500, you still get an extra $300 off net for a little effort since you can take the amount off you paid to get a phone to give them ($500 less $200 spent for the 8). Extra $200 if you go mini or max since its $700 for the regular trade in deal on those.
The loyalty deal only seems really worth it if lazy or out of cash to spend upfront.
This deal is great for a single line user like myself. This AT&T deal isn’t that great unless you have more than a few phones on your account. I will be keeping my shared data plan (just 2 phones) for the moment. Perhaps when 5g becomes more widespread I will have a rethink.
Ordered through Apple.com in preorder day for iPhone 12. I went to an AT&T corporate store and asked the trade in offer for my old iPhone 6s Plus. Got quoted $350 trade in value and said all was done (after asking for my customer info, trade in line number, and inspection of the phone) They did not have any receipt or paperwork for me to prove I dropped it off and told me something would be emailed to me.
A couple hours later did not get any email so I called the store and the store manager emailed me their internal record of receiving my phone. Hope the bill credits will show in a couple months!
Isn't it both under the $800 credit? I get $800 for my X if I would go through with it.Undecided if I should trade in an X or an XR, both are in good shape unlocked and same 64gb capacity. I’ve read through all the pages and see that some went about acquiring an 8, just not sure I want to go through that effort for an extra $100 or so. Probably the X with a year more wear is better to trade in right?
Yes $800 either way. I a,ready went through with the deal and picked up from Apple. That part could not have been easier. Now it’s trudging up to Satan's alley aka AT&T. I’ll probably give up the X just because I have some creative uses for the XR ESIM.Isn't it both under the $800 credit? I get $800 for my X if I would go through with it.
I'm just not sure who I want to deal with, AT&T or Apple, because it has to be shipped to me.

The trade-in is better financially no question.

I feel like most people have unlimited plans now. Yes you need to have one already or get a new one.Do you have to sign up for an unlimited plan to get this loyalty deal? If so, then looks like one way or the other, you will be paying because of higher price of unlimited plan. If someone needs unlimited plan then it's good to upgrade to get this deal but if you always have wifi nearby then feels like indirectly paying for the iPhone via higher priced monthly plans.
In any case, thanks for sharing.. always good to know.
