Just a question for everyone....I forgot to call and try to get my upgrade fee waived for our two lines. In previous years, I've done that ahead of time with no problem. Even though I've already paid my bill with the $60 in upgrade fees, would it do any good to try and call and get them to refund what I've already paid?
You can definitely get it refunded if you call. Just be persistent and remind them that you were told it wouldn't cost extra to upgrade.

When you have multiple lines you get a better deal. I’m on a single line so I choose the middle plan which is 5 less than what I am paying now, but gives me double the data, same hotspot. The elite plan was 5 more, that with the extra 3.50 they are charging me would have been 8.50 per month more. I really don’t need 100 gig data. The 5g kicked in immediately in the settings. Thanks
Phone companies always discriminate against single people

went to the store on my way home today to trade in my X. surprised how easy it was. in and out within 10mins. got a paper printout showing the trade in value along with the bill credit and all the phone trade in information.

The valuation assigned in-store is subject to adjustment once it is received by the company that processes the trade-in. I’ve seen some people say theirs was adjusted to zero. So nothings a sure thing until the credits begin.

should you mail it without their label? I'd imagine you would want to use theirs being they'll have record of seeing it arrive?

Not sure how they prove something didn’t happen until after dropped off at store depending on what is the deduction. But, it’s att and they won’t care and probably will never win that fight.

Not true. I’ve been told by many reps on the phone and in store. Once they receive the trade-in in store they are responsible if the device isn’t in the condition they said it was when the partner receives it. I haven’t heard of anyone getting an adjusted trade-in value once it’s completed in store. Have any proof to your claims?

Scroll up. There are previous replies in this thread(or maybe in the other AT&T trade-in thread) of people who had their value reduced.

Also, I spoke with a representative at Hyla, the third party company who processes the trade-ins, when I was trying to straighten out a mess around my own trade-in. His words to me were “Your trade-in retained the value given to it in the store of $220.”

I queried him further on this statement and he stated that the value assigned in store is only preliminary, but is subject to verification when the phone is actually shipped back to them for final inspection and valuation.

the receipt given says two things.

the final line highlighted in red says if you want a final determination of your device trade in, take it into any retail store.

Look at the line right above the one you marked with a red mark. That gives them the authority and ability to adjust the amount the store valued it at and they do.

right that's what I'm saying. it first says they reserve the right to adjust the value but if you want the final value determined, take it into an att store.

Has anyone who traded in their iPhone SE 2nd Gen received their credits on their bill? For background, when this upgrade offer first launched shortly after the iPhone 12's were introduced, AT&T was offering $800 for the iPhone SE 2nd Gen. Sometime around early November (don't know the exact date), AT&T changed the offer for the iPhone SE 2nd Gen to only offer $350 for the upgrade - this offer has remained. Obviously everyone who purchased their iPhone 12's prior to the reduction of the credit from $800 to $350, should still receive the $800 credit.

Fast forward to today when I received my first bill where the credits started an I am only receiving $11.67/month ($350 total) for the iPhone SE 2nd Gen's that we traded in. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same.
When I traded this in at the local corporate AT&T store, the store manager helped me (due to yet another issue) and traded in all 6 phones. He noted that while the receipt he printed for me to keep only shows we will receive $350 (as that's the current offer), AT&T/the system will know when we purchased the phones and will actually provide the full $800 credit. He even wrote a note on the back of the receipt with this explanation after I asked him to. Now I apparently get to revisit him at the store to somehow get the $900 we will be missing - that should be a lot of fun. Curious of anyone else's experiences. Thanks.
Good luck. You’ll have to call in to loyalty most likely to get your credits.

i still haven't gotten the mailing label. not even the 2nd request to re-send it

that's the issue. if someone would give me the mailing address i could send it in before my 30 days expires

neither have I. even after I've gotten the email about it and also spoke with att last week when activating my phone, he said it's on its way. unless it's coming via stamp mail, I don't think it's coming.

Are you able to cancel the mail in and take it to the store?

I would call and cancel the mail in and try to trade in in store if you can.

Yea everyone I’ve talked to and everything I’ve read if the store says it’s worth the $700 credits then that’s what you get. I don’t see how they can say one thing in store then change it on you.

Att partner received my iPhone 8 and stated the screen is damaged and doesn’t work. Which is crazy because I went to do the store trade in before sending in the device and the rep looked at the phone and said it was in great shape and I would get my credits. Only reason I couldn’t do it in store is because I had already started the trade in online. I actually went back to the store to talk to that rep and he said he can’t do anything but to call loyalty and explain the situation. He goes nothing I will update when finished.

Mine was received/processed on Dec 4, but have not received a confirmation of bill credits/promotions being applied yet, and they said within 14 days. :(

i tried to take it to the store and they would not take it. if you try to call trade in support you can never get a person

I was able to do this. You have to cancel the trade first over the phone. Option 1 (packaging / return label) will often not answer but you can also get through with option 5. You need to cancel the mail in trade to release your IMEI if you want to trade in store. The rep said I would still be eligible for the promotion in store and that after canceling the online trade it would work. Sure enough I took it to the store about an hour later and have a receipt for my phones showing the promotional value. The return packaging is extremely delayed and taking a little over 2 weeks. I actually just received the return packaging yesterday (12/16) for the online trade-in request that was made on 11/28. All they can do is send another return package that could take about as long which is why I asked what needed to be done to bring it to a store.

It's business days, and it's only been 10 of them. Which means if they don't get to it by Christmas you will wait longer. But it's 14 business days, so weekends don't count.

Mine took exactly 14 business days from acknowledgment of processing to sms message saying credits would start. Credits were on next bill with one extra month of make up credits.
