So this case does adversely affect signal?
I was about to order but I will wait for more reviews on the signal issue.
The Vapor caused me to lose 1 bar, but that 1 bar was enough to cause issues when I was in a weak signal area. I need a case that doesn't affect signal at all. Maybe that isn't possible.

Well, the aluminum part of the case IS still over the cellular antenna. I could see it still affecting signal, since we are all saying it's the aluminum construction of the other alu cases that caused them to perform worse than desired. I don't understand why they didn't put the delrin side over the cellular antenna, instead of the GPS, wifi, and Bluetooth side.
Vapor and Fusion did affect my signal, Atomic hybrid has not it seems to be just as good if not better then when I used my Bumper.
I normally have a full five bars of strength at home when iphone is naked. It now fluctuates between four and five with the Atomic on. At work right now (weak signal area) I have a steady two bars which is actually a little better than the Seideo Innocase that I was using.
Damm.
Fedexground is slooooow. Mine said 4 days to get to Cali but then today it was changed to 7days delivery time for some reasons?! ;-(.
This case does not affect signal at all, GPS at all, wifi at all. It had no negative affects on your phone which numerous people have also stated. If you have a naked IPhone and put just the left half of a vapor on, your signal drops, but if you put the right cap on by itself it does nothing to the signal. I think the reason is because the left side is so large and covers up most of the antenna and actually touches both of the antenna's on the phone, that is what does the damage. If you used the delrin piece on the right side only you would still have all the issues with signal and gps. Atomic did it the right way or the only way that it would be effective.
Holiday season my friend. Everything is slow right now. I do mean everything. I ordered a pair of shoes from Eastbay and they quoted me 3 business days and my package has done the same thing, went from 3 days to at best 5 so that was the explanation that I got from them.
I picked White iPhone up at the post office today and just got everything reinstalled and wrapped it in my new case. I'm pleased to say there is no signal loss here at the office, which is a really weak area as well.
My commute home will be the final test, but I see no reason why it won't live up the hype.

Going to have to be this evening. I knew I should have brought my camera to work with me. Tried to get a picture in the mirror but it doesn't do it justice.
My shipping date was pushed back by a day also. Looking at the tracking info, I'm really confused as to what FedEx is doing though. Yesterday went from Miami to Orlando and now back to Miami this morning...
I have a feeling that a picture probably wont even do it justice. Its something that I would love to see in person. Maybe if they ever come out with a white Iphone or I have mine changed to one then I will see, but I love my black one.

i dont think it's the "touches" that's messing the signal but the alum itself is doing the degradation of signal..(I tested the Karaskustom case without installing it on the phone before, just having the alum frame on the glass is enough to interfere with the signal )...
with the Atomic Hybrid , it's probably the amount of alum being near/covering the phone ception is so insignificant...
BUT...i'm have no theory regarding the delrin rim on the right side would have any negative effect on the signal ?
I'll do some tests when i get my case soon.

Your thinking is exactly right. I didn't necessarily mean touch it, because the vapor does not touch it, it just surrounds it completely creating a force field. The Raw never touches the antenna itself either but it still degrades signal a little bit and gps too. So ANY aluminum around the entire case will hurt signal.Aluminum actually is known to absorb the signal coming in and not just deflect it. That is why the delrin is working so well is because the signal can pass right through it. The small cap is not big enough to cause any significant signal degradation or GPS interference.interesting thoughts:

I've jumped in kinda late here so this may have already been answered but why is there no brushed silver version of the main side of the case -- only white or black ? I love the look of the atomic billet in all brushed silver but I don't want to deal with the signal problems. I'd pull the trigger on this one if I could get the hybrid in all brushed silver.
Because that side of the case is made with delrin, which is a very hard plastic-like substance. It is very hard to color, and usually is only all black or white, as it won't hold other colors very well. I doubt silver dye could be added to it.
exactly...and because the white looks really like plastic and contrasts badly against the metal cap, it seems to me the black delrin is the only way to go. And further, the BLACK ATOMIC HYBRID is the only case to buy as the signal does not degrade like ALL the others. So choose your cap color on the atomic, it's the only decision you can make these days.....

I did not read the stuff above but just caught wind you were some type of jerk. Oh well, nice looking case but all alum will block signal no matter how you "insulate " it. Shut off the CNC machine, better get started on the Gen II using something other than alum....
