Thanks wllnv19....or should we be thanking your son for this??
You have me second guessing myself in getting the fiber back without the apple cut-out. Hmmm.
Thank my son, the back is from sgp web site not carbon fiber from atomic

Oh Ok. Well I may have to look them up then. I like the carbon back from Atomic but I like seeing the apple logo so I may look into getting that back too.Thank my son, the back is from sgp web site not carbon fiber from atomic

That is why I hate Fed Ex, they are slow as hell. I always use USPS but I guess nothing you can do when they don't offer that service. But I am glad I payed for overnight, that's for sure.
The only reason I can think of is USPS loses alot of packages!! Its happened to me on several occasions and they suck at paying the insurance back to you. I think UPS and FED EX are alot more reliable, slower yes but at least you know you are going to get it. Plus if they are shipping overseas too, its probably easier to just use 1 shipping service because you sure as hell don't want to ship USPS overseas unless you like to gamble because once it hits customs, its gone. Sometimes it updates, more than likely it won't.i agree. i don't understand why vendors just don't use usps flat rate boxes. it's so much cheaper and faster than fedex.
Have used hybrid for two days now and have had no issues with gps at all it has been on target all weekend. Today I went to areas were I would lose signal with Vapor and Fusion and had no such issues with Atomic. Only minor complaint I have is that the composite side seems to have a very small gap between itself and phone on left side. Hardly noticeable but alot of us here are perfectionist and notice these things. Overall I am very happy with the case. Gunmetal looks awesome in the sunlight.
From what I've seen in your pictures, the gap seems quite clear.
I'm sure that even the non-perfectionists would agree, hopefully not everybody will have this gap.

I really don't have a gap with either case. The back shows a little bit but the front I can't tell at all. It might be the angle because all the pics I took I don't really see a gap in any of them. The gap actually looks worse in the picture, think it may be size or angle of picture wonder if others also have gap

What's their return policy on these cases?
Those of you who have the case already, do you feel like if you dropped it on the face or on the back, the screen/back integrity would be compromised?
Well... now that I've seen more pictures, I'm a little concerned. I ordered white delrin/red aluminum combo. The order was shipped but I didn't get a tracking number. Anyone else experience the same thing?
But oops, got a little sidetracked. What I'm worried about is the design. From the pics, it doesn't look very "lay down on the desk" friendly. It doesn't have a lip to protect the screen/back from what I can tell. I'm using a scosche bandedge and have the stock apple bumper as well... both have decent protection for laying on the table (and I'm assuming helps with drops as well).

With the case on, the phone itself will never touch whatever it is put down on, front or back. As far as drop protection, like I have said all along, this case is not a otterbox and will not absorb a 6 foot fall more than likely. I dropped mine from about 3 and it did ok but it also hit carpet and not concrete. If you want a case that will 100 percent protect your phone than this case, the Vapor, the Raw or none of these will work for you. You need an otterbox style case. That is about as safe as you can get. Other than that, this is a great case. Just be careful like you always have and you will be fine.Well... now that I've seen more pictures, I'm a little concerned. I ordered white delrin/red aluminum combo. Shoot them an email and ask them whats going on. I would, you should have the case by the tomorrow or so. They may be backing up again, don't know. Email them and find out what's up.Is it "normal "?
I placed the order on nov 12,
It's still in processing status..?
I paid with paypal and got the receipt and yet atomic's web site indicates that I have paid 0 of $93....?
Thanks
Yes...I want it Now ..if not yesterday ;-)
It lay's down on the desk just fine, particularly if you use the CF backing...however this is a case definitely more focused on form than function. Just like the vapor, and any of the other "Frame" style cases, you're not going to get much protection from a drop with these things. It will most likely absorb a ding or two to the actual antenna/side of the phone - but if you drop it face down, the face of the phone will hit the ground, yes...ditto the back.
The alumacase design offered a bit more protection since the case somewhat wrapped the phone...however it also turned your phone into an awfully expensive ipod.
There's a ton of cases out there that offer good protection (I still use my body glove vibe slide for most days) - they just won't offer the same style as a case of this type will. This is a whole new thing, where cases aren't necessarily designed to protect so much as enhance the look of the device.
how am i lying? i am not tied to alumacase in any way shape or form. i cant control what they do with their facebook. and i already appologized and started a thread that got deleted. and i emailed the site to sponsor and they havent replied. so feel free to start a thread where you bash me and i'll go defend myself on it. thank you
I ordered on the 11th and just got the shipping email about 30 minutes ago. Odd thing is that there are two tracking numbers so I'm not sure which one is right, but really that's no big deal.
Mine was sent out last thursday, no tracking numbers. Called fedex, gave them some "security information" and they told me my package would be here tomorrow. Thats from atomics location to College Station TX..fedex home took about three business days
