Honestly, that was my reason for ordering it too. I was looking for a better dock port and a little more cushioning/padding overall.

My reception is the same way on the providor. Before I fully switched to AT&T I used a T-mobile sim in my iPhone 4. Now that I am fully AT&T it is a night and day upgrade in overall signal everywhere. Went from 1 bar in my house to 4 bars instantly and all the time. Sometimes even a full 5.

I will say that despite the negatives on the Atomic Customer service that some have posted, they have been great to me in that sense. While I wasn't satisfied overall with the product their service has been top-notch and they are processing my return as I type this. Thumbs up in that department.

Based on the last e-mail I received from them, they are going ot be adding some new products and being the kind of person I am I will take a look and evalute and most likely purchase. I have like 10 cases already and will be adding to the collection if something strikes my eye.

Alumacase could be good as long as the inner lining publicity is true. I'm hoping so. The Raw looks terrible to me though. Just not a fan. Different strokes for different folks.

Very true. I'm stoked about the Raw. We haven't even seen the finished product yet. They have slimmed down the top and bottom and have 3 different finishes for it. I like the Alumacase too so I may have to order both
just to see.

I am still waiting on the final pics to make up my mind. Plus how it mounts kind of concerns me also. We will see soon enough though. I am in the first order group.

So I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm new to this forum and looking for some assistance. Like some others that have posted, I placed an order for this case under the pretense that they were ready for shipment. After not seeing anything change in my order status, I sent the company two or three calm and collected emails asking about status and some some general functionality questions regarding the case. Each time redding the automated response stating they strive to answer all emails within 24 hrs. It wasn't until my last email that I became heated. Then and only then did I see some type of progress. I did not receive any reply, however they found time to update the web store to state they would need 3 days handling time for each order. I have surpassed my handling time, and have not received any notifications or replies. I truly apologize for the length of this post, but felt the need to explain the situation before asking those who have received customer service what I am doing incorrectly. Please help, as I'm starting to believe this is turning into element jr. Thanks in advance to anyone who might have some answers for me!

Atomic is horrible!!

Also they claim there customer service is great but they wanted me to pay return shipping to them, I asked for an address they never responded, I emailed again 1 week later and they said I was
passed the return window. Someone else mentioned a 3 day return wind, WOW!!

Also they supposedly have a fix, remember Nolesfan, but ignored my email stating I would keep the case if they sent me whatever I had to do to fix the reception.

Long story short quick response pre-sale, selective response post sale with problems.

Paypal denied my claim since they do not make rulings on quality of merchandise. I will be initiating a charge back from my CC company.

Sorry, I had to jump in here. I don't understand. You just posted above they are horrible and post customer service is selective, and they would not accept a refund nor pay for shipping. But they did. Something doesn't add up lol.

No they won't refund until I take my time out busy schedule to print a label go online pay for shipping back and then I would apparently get a refund. They have been chippy since I posted my initial thoughts that the case killed my reception.

What else can you expect from a company who has an employee or partner (nolesfan). Who posted lies and bashed everyone.

Suck

Well, I ordered one after being tired of waiting and non responsiveness from Element. Big mistake. Asked a question by email, received a response immediately...placed order, sent email asking something about order: no response.

Asked when to anticipate shipping: no response
Asked if I could change colors: no response
Have spent 2 days asking to cancel order: no response

Contacted my credit card and told them not to pay: my guess is that will probably get a response.

I really hope alumacase turns out better than atomic has been so far. With customer service like this, I don't care WHAT their product is, DO NOT WANT.

That's too bad, I ordered one a few days ago.. I also have not received any information on shipping either. I am not to worried right now as my phone won't be here for another week. If I don't have any news by then I'll start bugging them.

I guess I'm a more aggressive type. I've posted to their facebook page complaining about it, and will continue to post to that page until I get a response.

I'm also sending an email from my work address, posing as a guy looking to make a large corporate purchase. If they actually bite and send me a phone number, y'all will be the first to know.

The Sh-t's gunna hit the fan if that works!

Which company are you saying you are trying to contact? Element? or Atomic? I can't tell from your post.

Reached "Ummi". He's claiming that my order shipped yesterday so there is no way to cancel it. He's promised that as long as I ship it back (presumably at my cost) that they will credit the account back.

Guess maybe I'll get a look at the thing while waiting for Alumacase :)

Got an email back from atomic. Initially they stated that while they would refund my purchase price (upon return obviously) that they would not refund shipping as they qualified my reasoning as "changing my mind". I explained to Ummi (not vinnie, my bad) that I "changed my mind" because apparently reception problems were so severe that they are redesigning the case, and that concerned me. In addition, he confirmed that I was sent the OLD design...

After a little bit more back and forth, Ummi agreed that if I paid to ship the thing back, he would refund the original shipping, which is fine with me. While I find it a bit disturbing that I had to claim to be submitting a large business order to get a phone number (and that response, mind you, was almost instantaneous), I do appreciate that in the end they've done the right thing.

I did ask him why they would continue sending out a design that they KNOW is flawed...to the point where they redesigned the case, and here was the response (along wiht much of the email thread as a whole). Basically, Ummi is saying that the issue is

We knowingly send out the cases because most of our customers are not affected or have insignificant impact having the case on. I personally have 5 bars with or without the case
We sell about 50% USA and 50% international. If and when Verizon pairs with iPhone this issue would be moot. When you are dealing with aluminum it becomes a challenge. We can of course make a 100% signal solid case out of plastics and rubber but it is just not the same.

Sincerely,

Unni.

You bet I changes my mind when I read that the reception issues were enough of a concern that you are redesigning the case. I don't blame and in fact praise you for that. What I do question is why you would continue to ship a knowingly flawed product?

Thank you for agreeing to refund shipping. I will certainly make sure to express that you worked with me on the forums to which I belong.

Best of luck with your second run of cases. I hope the issues are worked out and that things go well. Competition is a good thing for the consumer.

Thanks

XXXXXXXXX,

Did you not tell me on the phone "you changed your mind" and decided to go with another line, therefore cancelling? I was referring to that. No worries. Refund will be issued. Please send back as is.

Sincerely,

Unni

I don't consider "because you are redesigning your case to avoid messing with reception" to be the same as changing my mind, but that's fine. I'll eat the cost of shipping it back however I would appreciate having the shipping cost I paid to you refunded.

Please confirm.

This case was shipped out. Kindly send it back. We will refund you the cost of the case but not the shipping for "change of mind" reason.

The new case design ships next week.

In any event, I would still suggest steering clear until the new design is out for a bit and has been put through its paces, but it's good to know that with a minimum of "push back", they'll work with their customers...and to be fair, this is more back and forth in one day then I got with Element since I pre-ordered in August (which is NONE).

Here are some pics for you guys.

The brushed/brushed was delivered yesterday - it came with no bolts or a power button. And actually no packaging - just the two pieces in bubble wrap and a rubber band (huh?). I emailed Atomic at 5:30pm using the form on their website - at 8:30pm (on a fri nite), I got an email saying that they were sorry, and could drive the parts up to me today if I wanted! (atomic is 30 min down road)

wow! I said just ship them. If this follows thru, it will be great customer service. The product itself is high quality. No insulation between frame and phone - easily fixed with foam tape.

still waiting for my delrin cases, returned the original aluminum cases. Havent heard a word in 2 weeks now, not good.

Dude we get the hint, contact them directly. There is nothing anyone on here can do for you. They have an email and phone number, just be persistent.
The pictures are a bit deceiving as they do not show front views and how the machining of the beveled inside edges do not match when you bolt the 2 pcs. together. Also of the 4 cases we purchased, 2 of them had scratches and nicks. They haven't responded to our repeated emails regarding reception issues or returning the cases. I absolutely would not recommend Atomic Industries due to their poor products and customer service.

Atomic Hybrid C Case

Just got mine in the mail. It now is 75 percent plastic and looks like cheap f..ing garbage. Also did not come with the carbon fiber back panel showed in the f..ing picture right where it says add to cart on both pages before asking what color then they show it without the damn thing if your paying close attention. 80.00 for a piece of thin aluminum that covers one side and cheap plastic covering the other three with no carbon backplate WOW!! Piece of Garbage. Dosen't protect the edge of the glass or anything that would need protection just the stainless band that doesn't need it and the stainless band looks better on its own. As far as reception who gives a damn it doesn't do its job to look good or protect a damn thing. Also it will not overlap the carbon fiber back panel so a nasty gap must exist and probably some adhesive tape is necessary for that to be attached. You would probably get more satisfaction blowing your money in a strip club.
