Do you guys think it will arrive on September 21st? I ordered on 9/14 at 5:15am Pacific. Order says I ordered on the 15th. My order did change from backorder 1 to 0. Ordered 16gb black. Any chance?

Interesting first person i see that has posted proof of any confirmation email.
EDIT: Actually i got an email similar to that. But this doesn't look like a confirmation that it is being shipped. It just looks like a confirmation your order was placed.
Ordered a black 32G at approx 7:10am EDT Friday. Confirmation email at 7:13am and I just received my CSS email (6:30pm). I've gone from 1 backordered to 0 in the last two hours.
Oh, and I'm a Premier customer, but ordered through the regular ATT site.
EDIT: Despite having logged in to the regular ATT wireless site, my confirmation email did come from Premier. So I guess I ordered through Premier after all.

I was debating whether to post pics of my bank account statement to show the shift from "pending transactions" to the money being freely available in my account again. :/
Umm.. I hate to break it to you, but that shipping info is for the iPhone4 you ordered two years ago, which would also explain why it's not in the ups system (it's old and purged).
I wouldn't get too worried about that. I've seen pending charges "fall off" just before the actual charge is made. Varies by bank, but keep checking that account. It could charge for real tomorrow.
Well, AT&T just screwed me.
Called in to check why I'm still on back order, and they're saying delivery Oct 5-12.
Apparently when I updated by CC info, they bumped me off the list. Initially ordered 3:00 AM on the 14th. Looks like I'm heading down to the store on Friday morning.

I gave up on the Apple site after they weren't selling no commitment phones so I decided to call AT&T. Waited for an hour and a half on the phone while I half-slept. Was about 0430 EST when I got off the phone with them. I initially received a confirmation at 0600 EST stating a 21st delivery. Then, a few days ago I got almost an exact copy of that email but this time it said 14-21 days. I was upset to say the least. Now it's better but I still don't have a ship confirmation or anything.

Preordered through Premier, 32gb black, 2x 16gb white around 8:30am EST. Order shows as 9/15 on the AT&T site. All 3 went to 0 backorder around 1pm today.
Don't worry everyone, my guess is if you don't have 1 in backordered your good and should expect your phone to ship tomorrow.
I just got off the phone with AT&T, after being redirected a few times and trying out the automated systems. I ordered a 32gb Black from AT&T's website at 11am EST.
First, on the website, it still shows my phone as backordered.
When I called the e-commerce line (866-267-4510), the automated service told me that my order is completed, and is being sent to the warehouse for shipping.
When I then continued on to speak to a live agent, they asked me what time my order was placed. They said that only orders placed before 9AM PST will make the September 21st cutoff date.
They then went on to tell me that, to avoid confusion, phones will be shipping overnight ON 9/21, so they should be expected after then. I double-checked for clarification, and the girl on the phone said that phones should not be arriving on 9/21, they're being shipped with overnight shipping from AT&T on the 21st, meaning at best we should expect them Saturday the 22nd, if not monday the 24th.

That seems strange that you got the initial 14-21 day email, since you ordered so early in the morning on the 14th. By any chance did your order get flagged for "attention" while you dealt with any issues? Most people who ordered as early as you - and later like me - got the 9/21 delivery email right off the bat.
Same here. Go into the regular website and check your status there. If you show 0 under backordered, you're good.
So basically, I ordered my iPhone 8 min after pre orders went live, have a 0 under backorders, will it arrive on Friday??
I had a pending in my account since last week. It went away this morning. And the money was back into the account. I thought they canceled the order. I have Chase. And a few hours later the pending showed back on again.
Oh, I did get an initial email stating the 21st as the delivery date. Then a couple days later I got another email but this time with a 14-21 days estimate. Now with the email I received today, I'm back on the 21st time frame. Note to self: don't order from AT&T again.
