maybe? maybe not? who knows? one of the iPhones i ordered got off backordered. ordered a little later the cut off time. i think the so called cut off time is just a script they gave to the rep since they have no idea how many iPhones will get shipped by thursday.

I just got email from AT&T Premier
I cannot believe it...my credit card have never previously been charged. I ordered 7:15 est on 9/14 the Iphone 5 64g White. I got one email right away and nothing else. When I checked on other site, it was on backorder until late last night. It showed the 9/15 date. Every AT&T rep told me 14-21 days.
I just received this email 5 minutes ago:

Just to be clear, we really dont know much right? I'm skeptical at the whole back order thing, you would think, that if its not back ordered, it should ship on time...or am I completely off base with that thinking?
I order mine around 8:14 EST. Backorder dropped to 0 
Called ATT about an hour ago and it said I fall into the 14-21st category for shipment even though both the ATT website and my email said I would receive it on the 21st.

I don't believe we had a choice. When I log into the same wireless.att.com as everyone else, mine shows up as premier because of the discount my wife gets through her employer. What is really funny is she is a teacher and I work for a global company, but have a smaller discount than her (we use hers).

What was the Subject Line Titled on your email? Mine said "Final Confirmation"
That's good news for me and a couple others then... I know mine says the 17th and I have been told I was in the 14-21 day category but I ordered mine at 6:30am EDT on the 14th. I'm still waiting for the backordered status to disappear though.
I ordered on 9/14 sort of late though 11:45pm via AT&T small business I don't expect much, but I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed. Did get a confirmation e-mail at 2:04pm not sure which time they'll use but my bank account was charged as soon as I walked out the store since I have the sms alert.
Well if you read the print on most orders, it says "orders handled on first come, first serve basis".... well reading through the thread that can't be true. Some who ordered later are getting off back order and others are not.

Just wanted to update my status, i Just went from 1 backordered to 0 within the last 20 minutes. I ordered at 9:30am MST on 9/14 and had a order date though premire of 9/15. Hope this puts some minds at ease that we all just might get our phones on friday!!! Good Luck!!

Mine says: Your AT&T Premier Order
as I am a Premier customer BUT my credit card still has never been accessed. And it still says "as soon as the 21st" reads ambiguously like it could be delivered on the 21st or just confirming my order (again) for the first time now! Who knows.
I'm starting to think i'm going to have an issue because i bypassed the premier system(due to the fact that I couldn't access it and then I couldn't actually get a line added on that day) but now everyone's account is getting fulfilled and I am still backordered.

Just got the "odd text" email. Same as we have been seeing here recently on the forum. Wondering why the are sending out and email basically restating the original email. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Just checked the status page and the backorder # moved from 1 to 0, and it now says "In Progress" and "Pending Shipment". I also just (5 min ago) received a second email from Premiere telling me that "We wanted to confirm that your order is reserved and should arrive as soon as September 21, 2012. "
On the status order webpage it lists 9/15 as order date.
Good luck the rest of 9/14 pre-9 am PST!

I too was wondering why it was basically the same e-mail as the initial e-mail about ordering... Must mean something though....
Just as an update before i go to bed. I just got this email sent to me. I think it is the same one that some of you are getting. Looks like i am one of the ones that may get mine by Friday. Oh and as a reminder i ordered mine on the 14th 5am central through the premier website.
