Ok, just refreshed my order status and now it shows 0 at backordered , but not shipped either. Hopefully, things are movng. Hopefully all of our orders are basically bulked shipped already but they're just slow updating.

Holy crap I'm losing my mind. I saw a shipping number, and that my order was off of backorder then literally 5mins later I checked it again and it was gone! Back to backorder!I think AT&T is just screwing with us now. Luckily I had the tracking # on my clipboard, so I still had it. So I'm not truly crazy.
same happened to me yesterday!
FE & UPS do not just have labels with tracking # unless there is something to send! So- I guess you all can figure this out. Good Luck
I work from home and I ship out packages everyday and when I check the status it doesn't even show anything even though I already dropped the package off....my status on the att website changed from pending shipment to a tracking number which I'm assuming hasn't been registered with the fedex system...I'm not worried even if it says in progress I'm pretty sure that it will be here Friday....
Which carrier do you ship with? UPS should scan them when you hand them over. I usually ask for a receipt which requires them to scan it. I've tracked it immediately after that it shows as accepted at the store I dropped it off at.
Mine just changed to Qty Shipped of 1. No tracking info yet.

I've been refreshing every 5 minutes for the past 30 minutes or so since I got back from dinner. Just 5 minutes ago, went from 1 backordered to 0 backordered, BUT 0 shipped also. Status is N/A. At least someone's looking at my damn order and updating stuff.
I ship with USPS...after a few hours it shows up as accepted also...it normally update after hours....thats why im not really stressing over the tracking number i got from at&t

I've been following this thread very closely ever since I Pre-ordered. I haven't got my hopes up because I wasn't one of the first to Pre-order, but I didn't really care since I just didn't want to wait in line, I don't mind getting the phone a couple weeks late, but for shitz-n-giggles, I checked the AT&T status and its showing shipped.... I have not received a shipped email, nor do I have any tracking info... Only emails I have received is the order conformation, then the second conformation a couple days later. WTF AT&T? Ordered Friday 14th at roughly 9:30am EST.
I just wonder why It says shipped but with no tracking info, when some people show tracking info, but not shipped, and some that ordered at 12:05am on the 14th and still show backorder. I am in no way complaining, but I don't see it fair for the people who ordered first thing when the websites opened.

I received a "shipped" email from ATT just a bit ago. Clicked the UPS tracking link and my phone is in Memphis, TN (agent pickup/in transit to UPS facility). It's being shipped via UPS next day air saver. There is a darn good chance it could be at my door tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me today! It gives me slight hope that my order actually did go through and will be shipped as planned and that its just AT&T's horrible order status tracking system. I also have the fed ex number it came up with and have held on to it for dear life! Hopefully it becomes active!
UPS/FedEx Tracking Numbers
Those of you who are freaking out why your tracking numbers aren't working; this is because either:
1) Fulfillment center has yet to close their manifest.
2) UPS or FedEx has yet to receive them.
3) UPS or FedEx has yet to do the first scan.
Just because you have a tracking number doesn't mean you can track it immediately. Chill out Mary.

Hi! I've been following this board for days and am just as excited to receive my phone as the rest of you. Maybe some of my info will help someone.
I pre-ordered a black 16g, by phone, through AT&T, at 7:09am Pacific time Sept 14th. I'm not a Premier customer. The email, asking to agree to terms and conditions, came through at 7:23am and I accepted them immediately from my ipad while still on my cell phone with AT&T rep who took my order. She sent me a text, at 9:33 am saying they were received.
When checking my order this morning, it said "in progress", shipping date 9/17/2012, I have a tracking number and Fed Ex as carrier. I did the online chat, with a FedEx rep today, who said they have my package and it will be delivered Friday. I am still unable to track package through FedEx website though. My tracking number begins with 50235. I'm assuming FedEx is telling the truth and that they do indeed have my phone.
I agree that AT&T reps are clueless. One told me yesterday that they do not have warehouses..they didn't even have iphone 5's. The rep also said nobody has iphones right now and nobody would be getting them until October, including those who pre-ordered from Apple. They were waiting for them to come in from China. Huh?
P.S. I only jumped in hoping I could be of help to someone out there. Also, my phone never showed it was on back order at any time. Have a nice evening everyone and I hope we all get our phones soon!
