Yup, UPS tracking has my phone in Memphis, TN at the moment with a delivery date of Friday!
 
Fantastic... so apparently I was screwed from the get go... Just spoke to sales support and learned some new info..


Due to the fact that the credit dept was not open till 6am and now they require credit checks to add lines to existing accounts, I was not able to add a line through apple (and i believe some of you had this issue as well).

Second.. premier site was down.. couldn't add a line through that site and when it came back online.. i was receiving a data plan addition error which wouldn't let me continue..

My only option turned out to be signing up as a brand new customer with a new line of service... and while it got my order in.. it shot up an alert which I was not notified about on Friday... Basically it was asking for verification because I already had an active account with ATT... BUT.. the dept that did this verification does not work on weekends, so this alert was finally cleared on Monday.

So.... I asked why an alert will take me out of my spot in line (while address alerts and whatnot never actually removed someone from their spot in line while they were addressed).

I was told that they were not sure and it shouldn't have been... also interesting when I asked why other People were getting their orders fulfilled first .. the answer was.... "Maybe because you're a new customer..."... seriously?? wow i'm sort of glad i'm not a new customer... great treatment.. I would love to move my account from Verizon and then told no you have to wait to get a phone even though you ordered on time......


Here is to holding out hope that my order gets filled anyway...... WTF:mad:

They honestly have no solid answers regarding order status. They are just going through the motions and pushing buttons. It's an automated system.

I think next time I pre-order I'm going to just step away from the computer after I place my order and let the process unfold. I'll do my best to get it in as early as I can. That's all I can do.

I got my tracking number sometime early this morning, so I'm excited that my phone will be here on Friday. (Even though a CSR earlier in the week told me I didn't make the cutoff although I really did time-wise.)

We all spent how many hours here obsessing about the details and dissecting every little bit of information everyone shared. In the end it appears as if it all worked out for most of us here. I hope a lot of people didn't prematurely cancel orders that probably would have worked out in the end if they were just patient and let the wheels turn.. albeit slower than we would have wanted, but remember this was a PREORDER: We knew we'd have to wait a week going in.

I can't even imagine what all of the AT&T employees on the other end of the phone and live chats went through this week. I'm sure they absolutely don't get paid enough for putting up with all of this craziness.

Mine popped up with a package matching the description based on my phone number and ZIP+4

used another line for my upgrade...anyway to activate the 5 under a new number without calling at&t? I'm trying to avoid the hour hold times:p

ordered at 8:30 EST through premier. status changed to this in the last few hours! :D

I have a question for you guys. I can't remember from past events but does UPS require a person to sign for/accept delivery of the iPhone or will they leave it at your address. Obviously if so, I want to make sure I'm there.

Wow worked for me too. It says 1 package matched, but NOT AVAILABLE on the bottom though.
 
Anyone use the fedex tracking number on the fed-ex website?

I got a fedex tracking number yesterday, but the fedex website says it does not exist?

Stayed up until 4am on Friday morning. Got my order in at 317am central time, with an email showing delivery on the 21st. Saturday, get an email about 230pm advising there was a problem with the credit card address. Thanks AT&T! Glad you told us in advance that although I use my card to ship 10k+ $ worth of technology all the time with a different billing address, that it wouldn't be good enough for a 400$ frickin cell phone. So I immediately got the card fixed. Of course that changed the order date from the 14th to the 15th. Ordered a 64gb black. No change to the status since the order at all. So I played by the rules that were laid out.
I think this is the last time I deal with AT&T. Seeing them screwing over too many people here who also played by their rules and stayed up hours after they should have been in bed, only to most likely get left empty handed. I'll wait til 250pm my time Friday. If it doesn't show up I'm just going to drop AT&T from my whole company and sign us up with Verizon. Also going to dump my 12.5k shares as well. Claims of "we didn't know it was going to be this big!" are bs. They all knew. Otherwise maybe 3 of you on this board would be getting phones Friday.

Unfortunately not. You can even change the date range to last week and it will still pull up that "package".
