Dude, I ordered at 3:10am EST no friday 14 and I still on backorder, all three of my orders.
I ordered another one at 9:20am EST and for that one I have a tracking number and should be with me tomorrow!
ATT is unpredictable
I honestly don't think it went by when they were placed but when they were processed. I did get mine shipped but i did mine online. Not in the store. You may have had placed an order at a certain time, but it may have had been processed at a later date far after everyone else. Which they failed to tell everyone. And really it is a crap shoot, whether you camp out, or try to preorder. You are taking a chance you may be one of the lucky few. But i agree they need a better system.
If you heard that from AT&T, it's probably a lie.
My wife is the manager I think the are trained on Lying. We ordered two are only getting one she told me I could have it. Since then she has reneged on that deal. Fight is on prob won't be getting any sex for 14-21 days
Yes. 4 tracking numbers for 4 orders, all still show pickup - Ft. Worth, TX at 6:00 am.
Any in-store preorder people see any changes at all this evening?
I just find it really odd that the ton of people who preordered at the store (which amounts for a lot, just a lot of them probably don't visit sites like this one online), that 99.9% of them have seen zero progress.
Still have a little faith that in-store preorders (if early enough) will receive their phones tomorrow and that there was just never any updates to their orders. Or maybe I'm just in denial?
I think 99.9% might be a bit (or quite a bit) of exaggeration. I ordered two phones, both 64GB one white and one black, at my local AT&T store at 9 am EDT when they opened. I was worried because I had heard nothing until about 3 this afternoon. But then the order status page listed tracking info and around 7 pm the tracking went live on FEDEX from Dallas.
I spoke to my rep at the store and he said most of his made it but a few didn't. Lucky for me I did.

backordered and store rep told me "he didn't see any come in."
tried to cancel but wouldn't let me. oh well. worst part is that they had my account name wrong (extra letter in my last name) so when i said my email began with "first initial and last name," the email was thus spelled wrong. So when they send an arrived email, I'll never get it.

There's been plenty of flights from Dallas to Memphis and from Memphis to Atlanta, (which is usually how things from Texas would ship) an I don't know if the tracking just hasn't updated, or if it missed getting on a plane somewhere. Haha
Thought I'd check the status of my order one last time for the night. Crossed my fingers. And the results...are the same. It's a long shot but, I remain hopeful to discover good news when I check tomorrow. Or maybe, just maybe, the FedEX or UPS truck will pull up unexpectedly. I can dream.
