Any in-store preorder people see any changes at all this evening?

I just find it really odd that the ton of people who preordered at the store (which amounts for a lot, just a lot of them probably don't visit sites like this one online), that 99.9% of them have seen zero progress.

Still have a little faith that in-store preorders (if early enough) will receive their phones tomorrow and that there was just never any updates to their orders. Or maybe I'm just in denial? 😎

Yup, I've given up hope. Still on backorder. The only iPhone 5 I'll be seeing is in my dreams. And given how royally ATT screwed up communicating deliveries for Friday, who knows if or when I'll ever actually get it.

I am one of the backordered people..

Ive talked to 5 different att reps now. 1 said it would be here tomorrow. 2 said it will ship tomorrow, but it is standard 3-5 day shipping instead of next day. 2 said it would be 14-21 days.

basically no one knows anything. No one will let me cancel the order, they say they cant cancel it since it is in the processing phase.

I can't even pick up an otter box without preordering one. It may be a while for a case. I had to be on a waiting list just to get a otterbox defender for my iPhone 4 when it came out. My general rule is I will only pull out the iPhone 5 if I'm standing over carpet.

Soo... thought about an AppleCare or SquareTrade warranty instead?

I've already preregistered my SquareTrade 2-year warranty online for my inbound iPhone 5. There is a 20% discount coupon available online until October.

AFAIK the warranty is close to the same price as a LifeProof case (the best case IMO) and will cover pretty much anything that would happen to the phone. Just buy the warranty and use the phone caseless!

--- I've been reading this forum since Saturday . Someone posted that when they pre-ordered their iPhone 4 they didn't get any update whatsoever until an hour before it arrived at their door on release date . So there's still a little hope (or just wishful thinking) .
