Update: Arrived at local FedEx facility at 8:07 am. Worry level rises from 2 to 4.
I want mine on the truck... Not back ordered still, lol!! Any reports of people going to AT&T store that were back ordered still, canceling their orders and still able to buy a phone at the fully subsidized price they got for the pre-order?
Fed Ex has a delay (at times) in updating web with status. Status could be "at sort facility" and the package could be out on the truck.
Today mine showed arrived at sort facility at 8:04 a.m. and that status showed up right away. Then at 8:55 the site updated to show 8:05 a.m., on truck for delivery. Took 50 minutes for the site to reflect the change.

Well, my last hope for receiving an iPhone 5 today was dashed. My order kept saying processing nothing else just processing.
But as of yesterday, my credit card charge was still pending. This morning, that charge was gone.
So much for waking up early! That's not good enough for AT&T; you also need to be lucky.

It is very possible. I believe this was the the same when the iPhone 4 came out as well.
