Ongoing saga of frustration and customer disatisfaction:
Short background: Ordered 8:30am EST 14th. 1407 order number. Went through no problem. 16gb black. Long time At&T customer. Email confirmations shortly after. Been at Backorder 1 ever since.
3 calls to CSR: First call - don't worry. you ordered before cutoff time for first batch. You'll get it on 21st.
Second Call: Nope. Sorry. Can't guarantee delivery anytime. Could be a week, could be 4 weeks.
Last night: Don't understand. Nothing wrong with your order. Usually when an order gets knocked out of line its due to credit card issues or verification problems like addresses not matching. Your order is perfect. Our fulfillment page says your order is being shipped and you'll get it tomorrow.
So AT&T is clueless. My status still shows processing/ backordered 1. The CSR rep is 'supposed' to call me tonight to verify the phone was delivered and if not, we will take it from there.
At the VERY least, this is my last go around with AT&T. If there are no answers tonight, the order will be cancelled and I will be either heading to a store or more likely off the the Verizon thread which seems to be all ponies and rainbows.
