ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I've seen 16 black preordered 10pm come off backorder. Does anyone have a later date than this that has come off backorder.

For those waiting to get tracking info, you gotta use some common sense, it was the weekend. I'm sure the system will be updated today at some point, UPS & Fedex don't always have updated info in their system.... Chances are if you're off backorder you're getting your order the 25th or 27th since that's the trend I've read...

Those from 14th not off backorder, I'd call cause it could mean there was some processessing delays, I've seen some peoples order only being placed an hour to a day later when there has been delays... so chances are you are in a later batch.

If I'm right, I think we may see some 15th orders getting off backorder today....

Ordered the 14th, no processing delays. Only delay is ATT sucking ass.

What time was your order placed?
Is it off backorder?

I noticed the 32 and 64 are not as late in the day as the 16's.

Ya I'm not too pleased either... I already am asking to cancel my order to go pick one up in store. I ordered the 17th in the afternoon sometime...

JUST got shipping info for my 9:15 am in store order. Went off backorder on Friday at 3 p.m.

Overnight delivery, arriving tomorrow by 3 pm. FINALLY done with this nonsense.

On the phone right now inquiring about my 9/14 order.:
Waiting to speak with a manager. Got a $25 credit - wow... Still on backorder Might be time to search for a store with stock and cancel.

Grats! I'm heading to the apple store today to see if they got a shipment if they did then ill be canceling my pre order and having my eligibility reset for both my lines.

SO LUCKY!! I am extremely jealous. Hopefully the same happens on my end... May I ask what state you are located it?
 
Been lurking on this thread for a while. Ordered 2 black 16GB in store at 9:00 AM EST. Went off backorder last Friday afternoon. Just got tracking in the last hour. Shipped overnight via FedEx. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Looks like they are pushing phones out faster than their "estimates". Hope everyone else has equal luck.

Ditto...EXTP88998....

At first I thought AT&T was really great for moving my eligibility up by 10 months. Now I'm thinking they are just delaying the shipment for that time period....

Same here. I think if you had the $250 upgrade fee waived, that they may be making us wait longer.

Maybe we can get together and all flip out at ATT. This is not first come first serve at all...I have not heard of one person with EXTP889 having received their phone or even go off backordered.
 
finally.

64 gb black ordered at 4:20am est.
went off backorder yesterday afternoon.

finally an hour ago tracking went up - leaving fort worth overnight and will have it tomorrow.

at least att is not shipping this via ground!

How did you pull that off? I'm having trouble trying to get them to move my upgrade date up by a few weeks for the 4 lines that are eligible at the end of October.
 
I ordered the iPhone 5 from the store on Sep. 14th at 9AM EST. time. The FedEx tracker says I should receive my phone today! :D

I'm so excited!

I was already due for an upgrade, but when I called the 17th, after getting emails, the rep said that the "system" didn't like my unlimited plan. So she had to manually do something (AKA mess some stuff up) and my order to entered on the 17th instead of 6:30 am EST on the 14th.

Was just a matter of finding the right rep lol. I spoke to at least 20 reps before I got one to budge on my upgrade

FedEx just drove by I guess I'm not gonna be thr lucky one that gets it without shipping info lol.

Definitely not. I know that since I didn't need an early upgrade. I saw an earlier post that mentioned EXTP meaning external premier. It makes sense to me. I order on premier on the 14th and then had to call ATT.

Took several calls the day before pre-orders and finally got the right agent that said "sure you've been a great customer since 2005..yadda..yadda.." and noted my account eligible for full subsidized eligibility. It took several more agents and hours to finally get one to honor that note on my account on the 14th. Thus the order did not get placed until 2pm Central and officially listed as 9/15/12 on the order status.

I may have to try this. I would think having 4 lines eligible at the end of October wouldn't be an issue to move up my date by a few weeks. They told me that I have to call in and talk to an agent when I asked via chat.
