ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

At this point, I am 99.9% convinced that the only reason one should pre-order through AT&T is if they need to use the early-upgrade process, or if there is a substantial discount through one's employer. Otherwise, it seems like the Apple pre-orders are being fulfilled faster.

Just tried calling to talk to a human - got sent in a circle of automated menus. Oh the joys of technology. Guess I will continue to refresh the order status page relentlessly.
 
I ordered mine in store on 9/14 around 10:30CST and received it yesterday. I got an email around 3am Sunday saying it shipped on Saturday. Nothing ever changed when checking status on my account. It always just said processing. Glad to finally have it and hope you guys get yours soon.
 
Just got off of the phone with gazelle, he said the 30 day offer is being extended for an additional 10 days, so I have 40 days from 9/17 to get the $183 gazelle offered me.

Got onto the gazelle site to see what they are now offering for my att 32g iPhone 4. On the 17th when I accepted their offer it was $183, it's now down to $159...
 
Just called Premier customer support. Talked to a very nice lady named Vickie. She did not give me the spiel...it will ship between october 04 and october 15. She said, shipment could happen anytime from now to october 15.While this maybe wishful thinking, she asked me if I had a tracking number. I said not yet. Her response was one of surprise. It just seemed like she was shocked I had not received a tracking number. Again, it may be wishful thinking.

I ordered through Premier on 09/14 but order processed on 09/16 at around 7:40 AM.

I have been faithfully following this thread to get an idea of what is happening and I am in the same position as biodork. I came off of backorder Sat PM/Sun early AM and got my shipping information a few moments ago.

I ordered 9/14 ~2pm through a CSR agent (the website was not cooperating with transferring my unlimited plan). My order group is 9041 being served out of Forth Worth.

There is definitely something to the changing of the backorder from 1 to 0 on the order status page!
 
Just got the tracking number for my black 64gb; should be here tomorrow. My order went off back order late last Saturday.

Any updates on the 1406 club? Sure, the order numbers might not mean anything, but for those of us still waiting without any updated information, it is all we have to occupy our impatient minds :cool:

Came off backorder Saturday evening, still waiting for tracking....
 
My white 32gb was shipped earlier, was just checking on my husbands 16gb white to see if there was tracking yet and it now says next to his and my sim Partially Shipped. Earlier I swore it just said shipped next the 32gb Sim,
I guess that means both sims are coming with my 32 or maybe with the 16? How can s Sim card be partially shipped? Weird, happy nonetheless.

I think everyone's says "in progress". But what does it say under the "QTY BACK-ORDERED" column? 1 or 0? That's really the only somewhat accurate indication we've seen of actual order status.

Shipped

My 16 GB black ordered on 14th at 6.30 AM CST is finally shipped. It went off back order on sat at around 10 PM and is expected to arrive tomorrow before 3 PM. Mine is one of those 1612 orders that got delayed.

I'll call AT&T and have them send it right over to you! I bet it'll get there faster than the "pre-orders" :D
 
32 black ordered 9/14 8 pm pst in store. Still back ordered. I asked for a $100 credit, I got it, and now I'm reading people are getting coupons for iPhone accessories. So I will be calling demanding that as well

Good eye. I failed to see the QTY BACK ORDERED column, which is at 1.

Awesome! Congrats buddy!:D Getting it tomorrow I hope? Also, how did you get the $40 discount? Just call up and give 'em hell? The chat sessions are pointless...
 
I ordered at the store (after returning my second HTC ONE X) Sept 14th around 4pm and got an order number starting with X2RML. I received my order email on the 15th, but it has shown "processing" since the 15th. No charge on my CC. I never saw it showing backordered, so I'm wondering why no updates yet on mine.
