32 Blk 9/15 still chillin on BO

My theory is that all the new black iPhones, in response to them scuffing, were double/triple/quadruple checked/coated/improved so they wouldn't wear as fast. I'll be happy thinking this.

Just a bit fed up! I ordered on 09/14 and processed on 09/16. Some of you ordered after me have already gotten shipping info. I am angry with AT&T because they have not lived up to their end of our contracts. I have never had a beef with AT&T before. This blemishes their record with me. Lets hope I get mine before 10/04. I am away on business 10/04 to 10/07.
 
My 16GB BLK iPhone 5 just came off of backorder! Ordered on the 15th! THERE IS HOPE!!! ;)

The first order just came off back-order. No tracking number or shipping date yet. The second order is still on bac-korder.

Ordered around 2pm EDT on the 14th. 32g Black. Still on backorder.
Ordered another phone around 1pm on the 17th. 16g White. Still on backorder. I received a text and confirmation email for both on the day ordered. The order numbers start with 1810 for both.

Not too frustrated as I wsa told expect 14 - 21 days. Happy for those that have received their phones earlier than expected.

The first order shipped and should be received today via FedEx. The second order is still on backorder.
 
Earlier in this thread I cancelled the order for my two iphones, 1 16gb and 1 32gb. I did this over the phone with them, everything was okay according to them and when I checked on both my phone *639# and on their website both showed I could upgrade either phone. So fine, everything was cancelled, even though their website still showed both orders and only "processing". I figured it would be updated soon as it took two days from when I ordered to show up in the first place.

Fast forward one week. Yesterday morning I received an email stating my 16gb phone was being shipped, not only being shipped it was set to arrive at my house the same day and added the caveat my credit card had been charged. So first I checked my card, no charge showed as pending or had been made. I called ATT, explained the situation and asked them to verify the phone orders were cancelled. The lady confirmed the orders were cancelled and also confirmed I was set to receive a phone later that day. She tried contacting FedEx but they weren't open yet. She called back later and said they tried but were unsure if it was successful to stop the delivery. She told me to just reject the delivery if it arrived. I explained no one was home during the day so no one was there to reject anything. They were successful in not delivering the phone.

Now the point to all this is not just to update everyone on my experiences but to say that I continued to check their website throughout the week and my status never changed. It always just showed "processing", never back ordered or shipping or anything else and by the time I got the email the phone was practically on my door step. So if yours is still showing back ordered, it may be nothing at all and you too could get wake up to that email.

On a side note, I noticed my bill had updated as my month had expired and it showed I owed $194, previously I had a $50 credit. So while I was on the phone with this gal I explained something was wrong with the bill as my average bill is $158 and with a $50 credit my bill should be $108. The math is pretty simple. She confirmed there were no overages on my account of any kind and also confirmed my average bill, then tried to explain what might have happened and she would fix it and make it my average bill. I told her again it should be $50 less as I had the credit. We went back and forth on this as she didn't get it. After the 3rd time of explaining 158 - 50 = 108, she seemed to get it.

She asked me to hold, came back on and said she'd adjusted my bill to $80. I have no idea how she arrived at this figure but I decided not to fight with this woman any longer. She just wasn't going to get it and as long as it's not over what I should be paying, if she wants to screw up and charge me less, whatever, I probably deserved the additional credits for dealing with this moron.

So I'm done trying to do the right thing with ATT. If they want to give me additional credits, fine, if I receive another notice the 32gb phone is being shipped, as long as I don't see the charge on my card as mentioned above, I'm just going to let the morons ship it. When they figure it out they can send a call tag for it.

Great. AT&T sending out phones to cancelled orders yet I'm still on backorder for my phone. Makes perfect sense. This is such utter BS. Getting so pissed off. Tired of waiting around for 426 dollars worth of phones. Just want them so I can sell my 2 iPhone4's and get this over with.

9/14 order... (9/17 processed cause of AT&T shyt system)
Still backorder for 2 16gb black/white.

This means that it doesnt matter when you ordered. All that matters is when it was processed. And right now orders which were processed on 15th are starting to come off of backorder and will be shipped over the weekend.

This is good.
 
Mine finally shipped from Fort Worth. Will/should have Monday...

Thinking of going to store to see about trade for White one... What the heck, I've waited this long... Still wonder if the orders are processed based on geography...
 
Finally

Ordered 2 iPhone 64 blacks from AT&T late in the afternoon on the 14th. One of them shipped and was delivered yesterday, the other one will be here in Austin, TX on Monday. Fedex Standard overnight from Ft. Worth does not include Saturday delivery, apparently.

I did post that it may be that both phones were coming in the first package, even though I only had shipping info for one phone, because the weight of the package was 2 lbs, when everyone else that ordered one phone had a 1 lb weight.

However, there was only one phone in the package yesterday. The last phone does have a weight of 1 lb so I guess it's about a pound per phone!

How many of us are left that ordered on 9/14 that are still on backorder?

I ordered at 6:00 am on 9/14 but my order status page shows it didn't go through 'til the 18th. EXTP889987. It's a new line so I'm guessing they texted my non-existent phone a bunch of times telling me to accept the T&C and then just did it for me on the 18th.

Ordered 9/14, pushed back to 9/19. Still on back order.

16gb Black. Ordered by phone 9:45am.

Ordered 9/14 @ 2:10 a.m.

Got my phone 9/21 @ 5 p.m. (ONLY because the guy tried to deliver at 8 a.m. when I was at work)

Called Applecare @ 2 p.m. this last Wednesday due to a faulty home button .

Got my replacement phone Thursday @ 2 p.m.

Called Applecare @ 5 p.m. yesterday due to a faulty charging port on the iPhone.

Replacement phone is en route, with a free Lightning cable for my troubles. We shall see how this one works out.
