Ordered a 32GB Black on 09/14 at 6:51am PST through Premier. Order status (EXTP889985) says it wasn't processed until 09/17 though and still on backorder. First and last time I'll ever pre-order through AT&T.
Ordered and processed, from what I can tell, that same day, the 14th. Ordered around 7:15AM. Many people from Chicago and other larger cities that ordered around the time I did, and slightly after from what little I can tell, got theirs Friday or even some on Saturday. I was originally told on the confirmation that 'You will have your iPhone on Friday 9/21', but that obviously didn't happen. I kept checking and one screen said 'Processing' and the other way to get status said on Monday (24th) I believe that my order was backordered. Then I chatted with an agent who told me that I wouldn't have one until near the end of the October 4th - 15th time window. Now it appears that I'll be holding one Monday, whenever FedEx shows up. It appears to be shipped standard overnight so no Saturday delivery. I guess now that they missed that Friday the 21st date, it doesn't matter anymore...
Good luck for all waiting still. It may not take as long as they say... (Still wondering as to the processing/ordering/fulfilment process)

Does processing on the AT&T status page mean the order hasn't actually even been processed yet? It shows the date ordered on AT&T status page as Sept. 14th, but the status has always just shown as "Processing". not even Back Ordered.
Should I be worried that my order hasn't even been processed yet which means I'm no where near getting my phone?

I ordered about 9am on 9/14 and accepted my ToC around 4pm the same day. My order date does show as 9/14. It was off back order this morning around 1am EST. Still no tracking number though.

But 6:51AM Pacific time is 9:51AM Eastern time. If they didn't plan right, there are a lot of west coast people that did not get their orders in while there was still stock. Could it be that AT&T pooled all of the orders after the 21st and then dolled out the phones they had to evenly distribute them across the country? That would kinda make sense except for the idea that AT&T is a soulless corporation and it would be hard to believe on some small level that they would care about that... /snark
But it appears that is probably what they did, and 'my' first day iPhone went to someone equally elated to get one on the first day... Such is life...
I wish that would help, I tried both. The store tried it also but had no answer as to why. I guess I just wait. Thanks!

Has anyone check there order and saw that it said that it was shipped then to find out that it was someone else's tracking information?
I just check the status and it said shipped and then I looked and it said it was shipped on Aug. 3 and deliver. I check tracking and it was for Wisconsin and was deliver. I live in Georgia. I then went back and check the status again and it went to back order. THANKS A TON ATT THIS JUST ADDS FUEL TO THE FIRE.

That's normal for that page -- you should be checking www.wireless.att.com/order_status -- that's where you can see the backordered status.
Everyone here realizes that every time you check your order status on-line, your order gets bumped to the bottom of the list, right?

Is there anyone here from South Florida who has gotten their iPhone? I ordered my black 16gb on 9/17 (I know, I can't complain about it not being here yet) but nobody else that I know got theirs either and they ordered before me. Sometimes it sucks being isolated in the corner of the country.
I am in central Florida and i don't know anyone that has received there phone. I have not even seen anyone walking around school with one yet. I ordered early on 9/14 and mine just went off back order early this morning. No tracking information yet...
Tampa area here and nope, nothing. Don't know anyone who has gotten theirs or anything. I ordered on 9/14, "processed" on 9/16, still on backorder 32gb Black.

Was it a premier order? It took mine seven.. count them... SEVEN days to show up on that page after I ordered (14th order, showed up on 21st). I could see it on the premier site during that time though. I'd try calling and talking to someone else who can check the status for you.

Highly doubt many orders get taken off backorder today or processed. Most likely were all going to be until Monday to come off backorder. So sick of this ****.

Congrats. 889982 here 16gb blac still back order. I'm so pissed off at this. I know it's a phone just ruining my mood today. I feel like a kid who didn't get what he wanted for Christmas.
